Etymology[]
In Norse Mythology, Gullinbursti is a golden boar created by the dwarves Eitri and Brokkr. The boar is faster than any horse, with the exception of Odin’s horse Sleipnir. Its bristles are made from gold and the bristles in its mane will light up the sky as if it were day even in the dead of night. It was originally created when Loki made a bet with the dwarves claiming they couldn't build anything better than the Sons of Ivaldi who were known for building Skíðblaðnir and Gungnir.
