Höðr is the Dusk Shadow God of Ásgarðr, the celestial realm. She has just a bit of a bashful disposition. Her role is to defend the accused who have been taken to the place of judgment.
|
She doesn't see very well, but she compensates with exceptional hearing. By the way, doesn't that weapon she's carrying resemble Breidablik, the divine weapon used by our summoner?
|
Höðr first appeared before us when her father, Alfaðör, the Celestial King, ordered her to bring us to the place of judgment.
|
That said, it seems that she has her doubts about whether we really are criminals—and a good thing too, because we're innocent! I'm sure she will be able to recognize the truth.

Etymology[]
Höðr is the blind Norse god of darkness, winter, and cold. He is the son of Odin and Frigg and brother to Thor and Baldr. He accidentally killed Baldr when Loki tricked him into shooting a dart made out of mistletoe which was the only plant that Frigg didn't vow to not harm Baldr. Hodr will later be killed by Váli, but like Baldr he is also said to reincarnate after Ragnarok where they both become rulers of the new world.
Trivia[]
- The way Loki tricks Höðr into using Misteltán into removing Baldr's invulnerability is a reference to the original Norse story of Höðr where Loki tricked him into shooting a mistletoe dart at his brother which killed him.
