Etymology
Hagakure is a practical and spiritual guide for samurai warriors which was drawn from a collection of commentaries by the samurai Yamamoto Tsunetomo, former retainer to Nabeshima Mitsushige, the third ruler of what is now Saga prefecture in Japan, written in the late seventeen hundreds. The book itself reflect's Yamamoto's view on bushido and the way a samurai should live and die.
