The Harp Yumi is a Yumi that is introduced in Fire Emblem Fates. Despite its Japanese name suggesting that it is modelled after the Japanese lute, the Harp Yumi bears no semblance to the instrument. The Harp Yumi is viable for combat nevertheless, owing to its low but usable Might and the fact that it is able to increase the Resistance of all allies located within two spaces post-battle.
Analogous to the Harp Yumi is the Violin Bow, which is also associated with a musical instrument, has poor might, and invokes a skill boost to nearby allies. As the Harp Yumi cannot be found in the story or found in castle events of Conquest, or obtained as a gift from My Castle battles, it appears only in Birthright and Revelation.

Etymology
This weapon's Japanese name is named and based off of a Biwa, a Japanese lute-like instrument that evolved from the Chinese Pipa.
Yumi is the kun'yomi reading for the Chinese character gōng (弓), which in Japanese on'yomi is pronounced as kyū. Wakyu (和弓) translates to "Japanese Bow", the kanji which is pronounced wa in on'yomi and kazu in kun'yomi is borrowed from the Chinese hé (和), which means "harmonious" or "harmony".
Trivia
- The appearance of the Harp Yumi in-game is actually an error, as the model directory was improperly assigned. The error causes weapons to take the appearance of standard bronze/brass weapons, hence why the Harp Yumi looks like a Brass Yumi in-game. This trait is shared with the Bamboo Yumi, Rinkah's Club, Sidelong Yumi, Caltrop, and Robin's Primer (The Spell animation instead of Model.)
