Hel (ヘル Heru, fan translated as Hell) is a Dark magic tome from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War and Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. This tome is exclusively wielded by end-game Dark Mages and Dark Bishops in both games, and possesses the sinister effect of reducing the HP of a selected target to 1. Without the employment of hacks, this tome can never be obtained legitimately by the player.

Etymology[edit | edit source]
Hel is mostly likely a reference to the daughter of the Norse god Loki. The names of Hel's brothers, Yotsmungand and Fenrir, have also been used to name other dark magic tomes in the Fire Emblem series.
