The Hexlock Shield (まほうのたて Mahou no tate, Magic Shield in the Japanese version) is a shield that debuts in Fire Emblem Gaiden. A shield that is tempered with a bevy of potent arcane energies, it protects its holder against magic. The effect slightly differs from games.
In Gaiden, the shield reduces the accuracy of magic attacks inflicted on its holder to 10%, while in the remake, it halves the damage from Black Magic and raises the holder's Resistance by 7.
In TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga, the shield raises its holder's Magic Defense by 7, has 4 uses and is worth 8000 gold.
