The High Prince (白夜王, Byakuya-ō, lit. White Night King in the Japanese version) is the personal promoted class of Ryoma in Fire Emblem Warriors. It is an infantry combat physical class that wields Swords in combat. It could be considered the counterpart to the Crown Prince, Xander's personal promoted class in the same game.

History in the series[edit | edit source]

High Prince has so far only appeared in Fire Emblem Warriors. In that game, it appears to be a continuation of the Swordmaster class, from which it promotes. The class is considered Infantry and wields Swords.

Overview[edit | edit source]

High Prince acts much like the Swordmaster Class, with slower movement and heavier strikes. However, the attacks of High Prince have a larger striking arc and deal more damage.

Etymology[edit | edit source]

A 'High Prince' is defined as the male heir to a throne, and may be a reference to the Japanese belief that their emperors were descended from gods. Being from the Japan-styled Hoshido, and the eldest of the Hoshidan Siblings, this title describes Ryoma well.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In artwork of Ryoma in this class, his Raijinto appears to glow yellow, as well as it's customary blue lightning.
  • In the Italian version, the High Prince class and the Crown Prince class are named the same way. They're called 'Principe Ereditario', which is a translation of Crown Prince or Hereditary Prince.
