At some point, Hræsvelgr along with her sisters have been tasked with goading the kingdoms of Askr and Embla into war by her father Læraðr.
When Ratatoskr fails her mission to infiltrate Askr castle and assassinate Alfonse, Hræsvelgr warmly welcomes her home despite her failure. Ratatoskr informs her that the Order of Heroes had released her in order to spy on her sisters. Hræsvelgr instructs her to comply with the order and tells her to inform the Order that she plans on targeting Alfonse next. Ratatoskr comes back after feeding the Order information about her target and tells Hræsvelgr that Alfonse is planning on traveling covertly to Embla to negotiate with Embla. Taking the information, Hræsvelgr verifies Ratatoskr's information and viciously attacks him. She is forced to retreat after Alfonse successfully fends off her attacks long enough for the Order of Heroes to rescue him.

In Norse Mythology, Hræsvelgr is a jotunn who takes on the form of a giant eagle and is described as the eagle where all the winds originate from. The name Hræsvelgr also translates to 'corpse-swallower' or 'shipwreck current.'
