The Illusory Yumi is a Yumi that is introduced in Fire Emblem Fates. A Yumi that is adorned with a golden mirror that is fashioned in the likeness of the sun, the Illusory Yumi is imbued with the magical property of substantially raising its wielder's Resistance when equipped. This makes archers equipping it great tanks in mage-heavy maps, although the bow is mediocre against physical fighters with low might, a middling hit chance, and a penalty to avoid.

Etymology[]
Yumi is the kun'yomi reading for the Chinese character gōng (弓), which in Japanese on'yomi is pronounced as kyū. Wakyu (和弓) translates to "Japanese Bow", the kanji which is pronounced wa in on'yomi and kazu in kun'yomi is borrowed from the Chinese hé (和), which means "harmonious" or "harmony".
