The Iron Shuriken is a Shuriken that is introduced in Fire Emblem Fates. The second most basic Shuriken to appear in the game, the Iron Shuriken is slightly stronger than its brass counterpart, and is, apart from raising its wielder's Speed by 2, able to reduce the Magic, Defense and Resistance of enemy units post battle.

Etymology

The shuriken (手裏剣) was a common throwing weapon for ninja, and its name can mean "sword hidden in the hand", or "the sword inside of hand". They came in a variety of shapes, from flattened blades to the popular star shape.
