"Javelins of Light" are mysterious weapons that appear in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

The weapons referred to as Javelins of Light are wielded by Those Who Slither in the Dark.

As a remnant of ancient Agarthan technology, they are in actuality missiles kept in orbit that have the capability to be launched onto a targeted location and are powerful enough to reduce fortifications such as Arianrhod and Fort Merceus into complete ruin.

The people of modern Fódlan, with no understanding of such technology, view the destruction caused by Javelins of Light as the result of an unknown and terrible power.

Despite their massive power and mysterious origins, the Javelins of Light have several drawbacks. The system needs to "recharge" after the missiles have been fired, limiting their use to each charge. In addition, the missiles' control system is Shambhala, the stronghold of Those who Slither in the Dark. Once the missiles have been fired, skilled sorcerers, such as Hubert, can magically trace the control system's origin, which in turn threatens Shambhala's safety.

At some point before the game's events, Javelins of Light were fired at Garreg Mach Monastery in an attempt to destroy the Church of Seiros, but at the last moment, the missiles veered off and crash-landed into Ailell. This caused the forest to become a volcanic wasteland and was later dubbed the Valley of Torment. The people of Fódlan were taught to believe that this incident was the result of the Goddess's wrath. However, a hermit now living in Abyss was present at Garreg Mach when the Javelins of Light were fired, saying that thanks to the Goddess's protection, the missiles were veered away from the monastery.

In the Silver Snow and Verdant Wind routes, Thales deploys the missiles on the Resistance Army/Leicester Alliance forces respectively after they capture Fort Merceus, though they have negligible impact as the Death Knight warned them of the missiles beforehand, allowing them to escape in time. Following his defeat in Shambhala, Thales launched a barrage of missiles directly onto the hideout in a last-ditch attempt to kill the intruders, but Rhea transformed into the Immaculate One, blocking most of the missiles. The few that struck Shambhala did considerable damage, killing Thales in the process, though Byleth and the others were able to escape due to Rhea's intervention, along with several Agarthans. However, in protecting her allies from the assault, Rhea, already weakened from years in captivity, suffers grievous injuries.

Thales, disguised as Volkhard, deployed the Javelins of Light to level Arianrhod in retaliation for Edelgard and the Black Eagle Strike Force killing his subordinate Cornelia. The missiles killed most of House Rowe's members, along with a third of the Imperial forces stationed in the city following its capture.
