The Kinshi Knight is a Kinshi-mounted combat physical class that is introduced in Fire Emblem Fates. One of the promoted forms of the Sky Knight and Archer classes, the Kinshi Knight wields Yumi and Naginata as their weapons of choice.
A Kinshi Knight appears as the boss of the DLC Museum Melee after Chapter 15, replacing the Sky Knight that appeared before. Players can either defeat her or let her escape the map.
Overview[]
Combat[]
Kinshi Knights make for fantastic flying unit exterminators, having the high mobility of other flying units with the addition of being able to use Bows. The ability to use bows means they can take out opposing flying units with ease. Their ability to use Lances also allows them to fight back against enemies who may try to exploit the bows' weaknesses.
As the Kinshi Knight has two different base classes, their performance can vary. With the Sky Knight as their base, Kinshi Knights can benefit from increased speed and magical resistance. With the Archer class as their base, while they lose a point of strength on promotion, the Kinshi Knight benefits from gaining flight and an additional 3 movement.
Their Air Superiority skill gives them a bonus of +30 to their Hit and Avoid rates when fighting against other flying units, further emphasizing their usefulness in this regard. Amaterasu provides a form of healing relief to nearby allies.
Compared to the Falcon Knight, the Kinshi Knight's overall stats are slightly lower. This does not make them bad units, as the Kinshi Knight is more offensive unit, while not dodging as much. While having a lower strength than Falcon Knights, this can be quickly fixed with strength boosts such as tonics and rallying. The Kinshi Knight needs to be handled carefully, as they have less health and defense and speed then the Falcon Knight.

Trivia[]
- The Kinshi Knight class is the only class shared by all four Hoshido royal siblings, barring any shared classes gained through Friendship Seals and Partner Seals.
- During a critical hit using a bow or yumi, the movement shadow effect on the arrow stays after hitting the enemy, resulting in a blue line warping across the screen.
