Kiran is a protagonist in Fire Emblem Heroes. Similar to Mark from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, Kiran is a silent character who is an Avatar, representing the player in-game and is thus responsible for the army's strategy, but does not directly participate in battle. Their name is customizable by the player.

Profile

Kiran is mysteriously summoned by Anna. Though surprised by their appearance, Anna asks for their help to protect the Breidablik. Suddenly, they are ambushed by Embla soldiers and Breidablik reacts to Kiran, summoning a hero for help. Impressed that someone has finally been able to use the relic, Anna entrusts them to use its power to protect the kingdom of Askr from the invading Emblian Empire.

As a stand-in for the player, Kiran is indicated to be from our world. Upon describing where they came from, the other characters marvel at the ideas of skyscrapers and cars. Ephraim also mentions that Kiran has, at some point, said that the Breidablik, which looks like a pistol, resembles the weapons of Kiran's world.

Kiran makes no direct appearances in game except during the cutscenes of the game, during Summoner Support events, and as a figure on the tap icon in Tap Battle Casual Mode.

Etymology

Kiran might be derived from the Sanskrit word "kirana", meaning "dust", "thread", or "sunbeam".

Trivia

  • Kiran's clothes and hood are similar to that of Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening.
  • When Kiran uses the Breidablik for the first time, the hero they summon is fixed. Prior to version 2.5.0, the hero summoned was Virion. After the 2.5.0 update, the starter hero summon was changed to Takumi.
  • Kiran is the only character in the Fire Emblem Cipher trading card game to have a card with no known emblem, gender, or weapon.
