The location of Law's End on the world map.
Law's End is a location from Fire Emblem Awakening. It is where Paralogue 13 takes place and where the Ylissean League can recruit Yarne.
Profile[]
Located in southern Plegia, Law's End is called such because of the abundance of bloodshed in the area. In the chaos following Mad King Gangrel's death, mercenary bands battle for territory. Yarne says the only way to stay safe is to ally with one of these armed groups. The feud between the Stonewall Knights and the Riders of Dawn leads them to clash for control over four villages; the site of this battle is marked as "Law's End" on the world map.
The pastoral villages are surrounded by an old, crumbling wall, separating them from the forest and from the sea to the southwest. To the northeast beyond the dense trees, a mountain range looms between Law's End and the rest of Plegia. Every time the mercenaries fight over the territory, the fields and homes of the villagers are trampled. While the Stonewall Knights are currently in control of the villages, overall, the residents of Law's End have no preference who claims the land, only wishing for the violence to end.
Story[]
Overhearing two mercenaries threatening each other, Chrom and Frederick decide to intervene for the sake of the nearby villagers. Frederick mentions that siding with one mercenary band or the other would expedite the process, yet Chrom leaves the final decision up to his tactician. Robin may choose to side with Gyral of the Stonewall Knights, Dalen of the Riders of Dawn, or neither, electing to fight both groups. After the battle, if the Shepherds sided with Gyral or Dalen, they will receive payment for their services. Regardless of whose side they chose, the payment will be the same, unless Robin decides to oppose both groups. In this instance, the villagers will give the Shepherds a substantial reward.
If the Shepherds visit the villages during the battle, they may receive gifts. Two of the villages are only available to visit if the player opposes the Stonewall Knights, and the other two are only available if the player opposes the Riders of Dawn. The only way to visit all of the villages is to oppose both mercenary bands.
During the battle, if Panne encounters Yarne, he will reveal that he allied with the Stonewall Knights for his own safety. Panne chastises him and promises to teach him some taguel pride. If either Panne or Chrom speak to Yarne, he will join the Shepherds, regardless of whether Robin allied with Gyral, Dalen, or neither of the mercenary leaders. After the battle, if Yarne was recruited and he and Panne both survived, they will bond over their shared taguel heritage.
