“Hahahaa... Alright, let's do this. Finally, a chance to kick some ass”
—Lex, heading into battle

Lex (レックス, Lex) is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu. He is the son of Langobalt; the duke of Dozel; the half-brother of Danan, a possessor of minor Neir blood, and he is a family rebel. He is an Axe Knight who fights for Siglud. He's a childhood friend of Azel and Tailto.

Lex's first appearance is in the prologue, when he appears from the north, along with his good friend Azel on the second turn. He is hotheaded and loves to fight, but because of Seisen no Keifu's weapon's system, he usually can only attack once. However, by standing on a certain space with an Iron Axe, he can receive a Brave Axe from a mysterious woman.

In-Game

Lex is the only character you get in the first generation that can use axes before promotion, and he is worth using since he has the Elite skill, and he gets the Brave Axe. With the Elite skill, he can be trained to promotion without Boss Abuse. He usually gets promoted before Chapter 4.

Lex is best paired with Ira, Briggid, or Tailto. His only problem is that he won't be able to pass down any of his axes, as none of his potential sons are axe users.

In Chapter 5, after Lubeck Castle is captured, Lex can talk to Azel, but nothing will result of it.

In Chapter 5, if Tailto/Ira and Lex are lovers, she can talk to him, but nothing will result of it.

Etymology

Lex is the short form of the name Alexander, a name often attributed to Alexander the Great.

Notes

  • Fire Emblem Treasure's family tree, which previously revealed that Lex and Danan had different mothers, also said that Lex had another older half-sibling. As the name is faded on the chart, this sibling is presumably dead.
  • The Hero Axe conversation is a reference to one of Aesop's fables, The Honest Woodcutter.
