The Light Mage is a combat magical class that debuted in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
History in the Series
The Light Mage is exclusive to Micaiah in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Thought of as the female version of the Monk class from previous games, this class, like its name suggests, wields Light magic as its sole weapon of choice.
By the class's name and description, Light Mages appear to be extremely rare, and differ from Monks or Bishops in that they are not affiliated with the clergy, opting to study and employ their magic toward different ends. This, however, doesn't seem to exempt Micaiah from faithfully chanting for the Goddess's intervention while preparing her spells.
Micaiah promotes into a Light Sage after being officially named the captain of Daein's army at the end of the Endgame of Part 1.
