—Lindon during his recruitment by Alear in Chapter 18.
Lindon is a playable character from Fire Emblem Engage. He is an Elusian scholar.
Profile[]
Lindon is a scholar from Elusia and a former retainer of King Hyacinth's older brother, Ivy and Hortensia's uncle. He was born in a town near the Tower of Wisdom, Elusia's famed library. He also taught magic to soldiers of Elusia, but has somewhat retired from most duties.
Lindon is among the Elusian forces who attempts to attack the Divine Dragon's army on their way to Elusia. Upon intercepting their ship at sea, Lindon expresses his distaste at the decision, but nonetheless follows orders. During the attack, either by Alear, Ivy, or Hortensia encountering him, Lindon discovers that both Elusian princesses are safe. Dissatisfied with Elusia's current control under the Fell Dragon Sombron and the Four Hounds, Lindon defects to Alear's army, reasoning that wherever the princesses' loyalties are, he will follow for the future of Elusia.

Personality[]
Lindon has a great hunger for knowledge, which he feeds with studies and experiments. His experiments almost wholly focus around the application of Thunder magic. While the subject is of great interest to him, his casual attitude toward such magic can catch others off guard when he requests assistance with his experiments.
Lindon also has a talent for the arts. He has painted portraits of his long departed, but beloved wife. He is also a noted novelist having earned the praise of fellow novelist in the army Jade. By his own claims with her, Lindon has read nearly every book in all of Elyos.
As one of the more senior members of the Divine Dragon's forces, Lindon bonds especially with the other two senior members Vander and Saphir. While he laments that he is far past his physical prime, he still maintains pride in his sharp mind and aspires to show he is more than capable keeping up with the younger members. His years of service and experiences got him in close contact with the Elusian royalty, with Hortensia personally asking him to teach her his spellcraft. While he humbly declines, he provides sagely advice to her and reassures her of her father's love for her after his death.
