The Loptrian Mage is a combat magical class that appears exclusively in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776.

Overview

Eponymously named after the Loptr Church that they are devoted members of, Loptrian Mages wield Dark magic as their primary weapon of choice, and are also able to utilize staves and all forms of Anima magic. Unlike many other Dark magic classes in the series, Loptrian Mages are armed with magic that is specifically designated as sinister, with spells like Yotsmungand and Hel carrying an overarching theme of unquenchable torment by denizens of the underworld.

Combat

Loptrian mages are a versatile class that can use all magic but light, they could be considered the Dark counterpart of Sister. Playable Dark Mages are only capable of using Yotsmungand, which has high might, but is heavy and inaccurate, as well as Fenrir, the most powerful and accurate long range tome within the game.

The class's high staff rank, unusual for a tier 1 class, should not be overlooked as it allows them to use staves like Recover and Sleep from base.
