Lost Lore is a game mode in Fire Emblem Heroes.

Overview[]

The player is tasked with sending their Heroes to various worlds based on the Fire Emblem series in order to restore their plotlines, by recovering the world's "Lore Lines" through Acts. Players receive rewards for completing Acts and for reaching certain milestones for the cumulative number of pages gathered.

Up to two Heroes can be sent at a time to explore an Act with a maximum of three pairs being sent as the player unlocks the ability to send out more pairs. These pairs will search for the Lore for a period of 20 hours after which they return with the recovered pages. Sending a corresponding Hero from the Fire Emblem game focused for the event will net additional pages. Units who are sent to search for lore are not removed from the roster and can still be used in other game modes.

The 1st Act requires one round of exploration. The 2nd Act to 4th act requires a minimum of two searches to complete. The 5th and final area is the Strike, which has the player sending off four units to battle against four hidden enemies. Over the course of the 20 hours in this area, the four units selected will battle the hidden enemies whose identity remains unknown until they have take a certain amount of damage. These enemies have weapon and movement types which affect the damage they will take and receive from the allies who are deployed, factoring in color advantage and weapon effectiveness. Both the player's selected Heroes and the enemies deployed will first battle their respective, adjacent enemies until either side loses all of their health. If an ally hero or enemy is defeated, the surviving unit will assist in the closest enemy for subsequent rounds. Ally heroes who fall are not lost from the player's roster. After a complete cycle of Strike, the player can redeploy heroes, including previously felled allies, however enemies will not revive once their HP has been depleted. Once all four enemies have been defeated, the Strike course is completed.
