Luke's Sword (ルークの剣 Rūku no ken) is a Sword that appears exclusively in Fire Emblem: Shin Monshō no Nazo ~Hikari to Kage no Eiyū~. In spite of what its name suggests, this sword is one that is not strictly bound to Luke, and can hence be brandished by any sword-wielding character. Much like Ogma's Sword and Cecil's Sword, however, the sword could be one that is deliberately designed in such a way that it effectively functions as a reflection of its namesake's personality; First and foremost, the sword's Might of 7 functions as a subtly deliberate reference to Luke's starting Strength of the same denomination, a number that in turn serves as a common symbol of luck - Alluding to the fairly precarious growth rates that the character possesses, in which a majority of his essential statistics exhibit either a 40-50 or a 50-50 chance of increasing, postulating him as an individual who requires an immensity of luck in order to experience decent level ups, that which in turn serves as a reference to his former role as an avid gambler prior to his enlistment into the Altean knights. Through this gamble with his growth rates, however, albeit in a rather ironic fashion, Luke still possesses an immense amount of potential to fledge into a valuable asset to the player's army, as hinted through the sword's high accuracy and fairly substantial Critical rate. Luke's position as a fresh recruit of the Altean knights is also one that can be elucidated from the sword as well, as evidenced by its basic weapon rank (E), that which every aspiring sword wielder is wont to possess initially.
