Madelyn is Lyn's mother, and the daughter of Marquess Hausen of Caelin. Madelyn fell in love with Hassar of Sacae, and left Caelin to live with him. Six months before the start of Lyn's story, Madelyn and Hassar were killed by the Taliver Bandits.
The marquess of Araphen fell in love with Madelyn, but due to her choosing Hassar over him, he developed a racist hatred towards Saceans.
Madelyn is described as having been beautiful and graceful by Lyn.
Etymology[]
The name Madelyn has Greek origins, meaning "high tower". It is also a variation of Madeline or Madeleine, the French form of Magdalene.
Mary Magdalene, in the New Testament, witnessed the crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus and was his most faithful follower.
