This article refers to the stat magic, for the article on the different types of magic (i.e Dark Magic, Anima Magic, Light Magic, etc.) click here

Magic (魔力 Maryoku lit. Magical Power) is the stat that determines the potency of magical attacks and healing staves. In Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade through Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, it also affects the range of staves like Physic or Warp, with the range of these staves being user's magic divided by 2, often with a minimum of 5 range.

In the GBA titles, magic using characters replace Strength with magic.

In Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 and TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga, magic essentially functions like the traditional magic stat, as well as Resistance.

In Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Fire Emblem Awakening, and Fire Emblem Fates, characters have separate Strength and Magic stats. In these games, a unit's magic stat affects the strength of magic weapons like the Levin Sword, Bolt Axe, Flame Lance, and Sonic Sword.

Classes that specialize in magic are Mage, Sage, Bishop, Curate, Cleric, Priest, Shaman, Druid, Saint, Archsage, Valkyrie, Mage Knight, Summoner, Monk, and the various "unique" classes. (Light Priestess, Chancellor, etc.) Most physical classes (there are few exceptions) have very low to nonexistent magic growths, due to the rarity of them needing to make use of it.
