“No... Prince Marth! You are our leader! Stand up! Sire!”
—Quote if Marth is defeated when Caeda, Jagen, and Nyna are all absent, but Malledus is present.

Malledus (モロドフ Morodofu, Morodof in the Japanese version) is a non-playable character from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. He is Marth's elderly tactician and the first tactician to appear in the Fire Emblem series. Malledus was also the former confidant to Marth's late father, King Cornelius. During the game, he explains to Marth the events of the war where Marth's ancestor, Anri, fought Medeus. Throughout the game, Malledus remains unplayable.

At the start of Book 2 in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, he falls ill and can no longer help Marth, and is replaced by Jagen as the main strategist.

Trivia

  • The "Choose Your Legends" event of Fire Emblem Heroes revealed that he was 749th place out of 791, making him the lowest scoring character of the Shadow Dragon portion with 43 votes.
