Malte is a S-Ranked spear formerly wielded by one of the Eight Heroes, Barigan, during The Scouring. It is known as the "Spear of Snow and Ice," and is obtained in a Gaiden chapter if the route to Ilia was taken; to access it, Thany, Tate, Yuno, and Zealot must be alive (but they don't all have to be in the chapter). If the route to Sacae was taken instead, Yodel will have Malte in his inventory when he joins your party. Like the other Divine Weapons, Malte will do triple damage to Wyvern Riders/Lords and Manaketes.
