Margrave Edmund is a character mentioned in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. He is the head of House Edmund, a member of the Leicester roundtable, and the adoptive father of Marianne.
Profile[]
As leader of House Edmund, Margrave Edmund fostered beneficial trade policies and fair use of its harbors. As House Edmund become wealthy as a result of his actions, its renown grew to a point where it was accepted into the ranks of the Five Great Lords of the Alliance, replacing House Daphnel.
In Imperial Year 1176, Margrave Edmund adopted Marianne, the daughter of an unidentified noble and a distant relative of his. He enrolled her in the Officers Academy in Imperial Year 1180.
Three Houses[]
Should Byleth recruit Marianne into their class, Edmund agrees to let her stay with the group so he could build up political relations. In most of Marianne's endings, he helps tutor her as his successor.

As Margrave Edmund was regularly too busy to make it to Leicester roundtable meetings, Marianne took his in his stead. Marianne had long felt distant from her adoptive father, but as the war passed through Edmund, he took the time to check up on her, which greatly improved Marianne's opinion of him.
