“Since the dawn of the Adrestian Empire, House Vestra has served House Hresvelg as the emperor's right hand. My father spat on a legacy of loyalty and devotion that had lasted 1,000 years.”
—Hubert

Marquis Vestra is a character mentioned in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. He is the head of House Vestra, Minister of the Imperial House in the Adrestian Empire, and the father of Hubert.

Profile[]

As Minister of the Imperial Household, Marquis Vestra's primary concern was acting at the behest of the Emperor of the Adresian Empire. He made his son Hubert a vassal of Princess Edelgard when he was only six years old.

In Imperial Year 1171, Marquis Vestra was one of the conspirators in the Insurrection of the Seven, a plot to strip Emperor Ionius IX of most of his power. In 1180, following Ionius's abdication and Edelgard's coronation as the new Emperor, Hubert turned against his father and condemned him. The former Marquis Vestra was subsequently assassinated and Hubert succeeded him as Marquis Vestra and Minister of the Imperial Household.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes[]

In the alternate timeline of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, it is stated that Marquis Vestra was killed by Hubert during the coup to wrest control of the Empire from the Prime Minister. Hubert succeeded his father as Marquis Vestra and Minister of the Imperial Household following his assassination.

Etymology[]

Vestra is Latin for "yours", a possible reference to House Vestra being a vassal to the emperor.
