Master Knight is a horse-mounted combat magical class exclusive to Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.
Overview[]
Master Knight is a rare, and intentionally exemplary class offset by its rarity among the player's units. However certain NPC, and boss characters may use this class as well.
Master Knights are an unused class in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. It can be seen the class remained mostly the same but lost the ability to use Light magic and would lose all weapons ranks but swords when Dismounted.
In the Fire Emblem: Trading Card Game, the Master Knight only uses physical weapons due to the card game having a four Weapon Type limit.
In Vestaria Saga I, the Master Knight is known as the Knight Master. It is a standalone class that wields Swords, Lances, Throwing Spears and Axes. Cromwell is the only playable Knight Master, but he can only be playable if Eddard is killed or not recruited.
Gameplay[]
Unlike other mounted classes in the same game, the Master Knight has high stat caps. It can use the widest variety of weaponry in the entire game, making it a very flexible class. However, the only two playable characters who can reach this class, Lachesis in Sigurd's story and Leif in Seliph's story, start out relatively weak and have insufficient holy blood to use any holy weapons.
