Her Defense is low and any physical unit that is able to jump on her are likely to kill her with a single attack, even some blue units are able to kill her in one attack. Depending on her team comp, Micaiah has little power against other high Res units who are Red such as Julius, Sanaki, and Caeda are able to naturally resist Yune's Whisper. Felicia and Halloween Sakura are able to easily counter her thanks to their weapons and high res as well. Finally her weakness to bows is another means to kill her instantly with effective ranged physical damage.

Iceberg is the only real skill that she needs as she lacks a Special and it plays naturally off of her high Res. As a high Res unit, she is a natural Ploy user though she really only requires Res Ploy since Yune's Whipsers already debuffs their Atk and Spd, and more Res reduction will give her attacks more sting. If planning on using Ground Orders, using the Res Ploy Seal. If running Res Ploy in her Slot C, Defense Ploy can be added to her Seal which does not particularly affect her, but does set up enemies for her physical allies to dispatch.

Bridal Micaiah is a Colorless Tome Flying Duo Hero and rounds off the colors used by Micaiah. Accompanied by Sothe, she retains her various versions stat spread, having high Atk and magic bulk, but low Spd and physical bulk. Her status as a colorless unit does give her an advantage over her color forms as she is not affected by the weapon triangle (barring any Raventome users), thus can safely damage nearly every unit in the game, especially for the standard anti-cavalry/armor unit her forms are known for. Her flying status also makes her incredibly mobile and can receive flier buffs further strengthening what is already an impressive unit.
  +
Her Duo skill inflicts a -7 Def and Res debuff of any enemy within three columns of herself at the center plus any ally within the same range gain the【Dominance】effect, granting that unit bonus damage equal to the debuffs on that enemy. As such, Bridal Micaiah and her allies gain what results in 14 additional damage on top of a weakened defensive stat. While short debuff, it can easily allow Bridal Micaiah or her allies to eliminate a problematic foe with ease.
  +
Joyful Vows is her unique tome which gives her the standard effect all her forms have, namely an effectiveness to cavalry and armored units. It also grants her a base +3 Atk and if any sort of bonus is active on her, such as【Dominance】, or a skill that grants a bonus for a turn like a Hone or Rally skill, she gains +6 Atk/Res during combat and negates the opponent's ability to perform a follow-up attack if she initiates combat. Overall, Micaiah can reach absurd levels of of magic resilience and damage if she can secure buffs and bonuses.
  +
She retains her unique Sacrifice skill, allowing her to evenly restore an ally's HP, bottoming herself off at 1 HP if her ally's missing HP exceeds her current total. Atk/Res Push 4 grants her a further +7 Atk/Res buff if she starts combat above 25% health, but will take 5 recoil damage if she attacks. This further serves to boost her overall damage and magic bulk. Mystic Boost disables weapons that deal adaptive damage, mainly addressing dragons and also disables Wrathful Staff effects, forcing them to deal reduced Staff damage. As an added bonus, she regains 6 HP, negating the recoil receive from her Skill A. Finally, Attack Resistance Oath grants herself a +5 Atk/Res visible buff if she starts her turn adjacent to an ally. With her skills and tome effect active, this means that she can enter battle with a massive +18 Atk/Res boost on her own without factoring any further boosts she gains from her allies.
  +
Counters
  +
While being colorless is more of an advantage than a disadvantage when considering her offensive prowess, it also makes her less bulky without that same advantage to use over a color. Her physical bulk does her no favors as she can barely take a hit from a physical unit and her lack of Spd means that most can double her when she initiated on.
  +
Skill Inheritance
  +
Bridal Micaiah has the loadout that is nearly perfect and really only desires a Special Skill. Her ability to buff herself makes Glimmer the clear cut choice as she can reach absurd levels of damage when taking all of the buffing she can receive from herself and with her allies as well.

“If that’s what it takes to be just, then I want nothing to do with justice. I’d rather be hated and feared like Mad King Ashnard. I’d rather the dark god take my soul. I’m going to save my people, Sothe. If the rest of the world paints me as a beast to be reviled and hated, so be it.”
—Micaiah, to Sothe in Radiant Dawn

Micaiah, also known as the Silver-Haired Maiden, is a playable character, primary protagonist of the first part of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and one of the two main protagonists in the overall story. She is a wielder of Light magic and the de facto leader of the Dawn Brigade.

She has a unique skill, Sacrifice, which allows her to give up some of her HP to heal a selected unit.

Micaiah is the first main character since Celica from Fire Emblem Gaiden to fight with magic, and the first main character in the series to use it almost exclusively.

Profile

Before The Mad King's War

Micaiah and Sothe

Micaiah with a young Sothe.

Before Mad King Ashnard declared war on Crimea, Micaiah's early occupation was that of a fortune teller in Daein. During this time, she met a young boy named Sothe, and they promised to look after each other forever. However, due to the fact that Micaiah was Branded, the prospect of Sothe traveling with her and catching the backlash of the prejudice she would receive was unthinkable, and with that, she left him. They were reunited after the war, whereupon she promised never to leave him again.

Occupation of Daein

After the Mad King's War, the Begnion occupation forces took control of Daein. During this time, Micaiah reunited with Sothe, who was one of the Crimean soldiers serving under Ike during the Mad King's War.

Micaiah and Sothe then proceed to join up with Nolan, Edward, and Leonardo and form the Dawn Brigade, a group of freedom fighters officially led by Nolan to fight for a free Daein. Micaiah greatly distrusts Ike, blaming him for Daein's plight, despite never having fought alongside him during the Mad King's War.

The Liberation Army

The Dawn Brigade unearth a rumor that the son of Mad King Ashnard, Prince Pelleas, is secretly raising a liberation army in Daein's Desert of Death. The Dawn Brigade finds an abandoned fort in the desert where Pelleas is supposedly hiding out, helping the then-small Liberation Army defend against the attacking Begnion soldiers.

Once the soldiers have retreated from the area, the Dawn Brigade meet up with Prince Pelleas and his assistant, Izuka. Pelleas recognizes Micaiah instantly as the Silver-Haired Maiden, and immediately appoints her as the vice-commander of the Daein Liberation Army. At first, Micaiah and Sothe are reluctant to accept the role Pelleas is imposing upon them, but eventually decide to comply.

Micaiah's mark

Micaiah revealing her Branded heritage.

Once Daein is freed from Begnion's rule, Pelleas promotes Micaiah as the supreme commander of Daein's armies. With Sothe and Volug, she resolves to restore Daein to its former glory, giving farewell to some of her allies as they left for other lands, and reflecting with Muarim on what her brand had meant to her life.

War with the Laguz

When the Laguz Alliance learns that Begnion has committed the unforgivable crime of killing an innocent Laguz messenger, alongside being responsible for the destruction of Serenes Forest, it then declares war upon said country. King Pelleas then proceeds to order Micaiah to lead Daein's armies into battle - on the side of the Begnion empire. At first, no one could come to an understanding as to why Pelleas has chosen to make such a decision, but it is later revealed that the king had unknowingly signed a blood pact with the Begnion Senate during his coronation ceremony after Daein's abdication from Begnion's rule. This essentially means that Daein is placed under full control of the Begnion Senate, to which it was ordered to eradicate the Laguz Alliance.

Ashera and Yune

Micaiah ripping up blood pact

Micaiah destroying the blood pact.

When the goddess Ashera is interrupted from her thousand-year slumber and awakens, she petrifies everyone on the continent of Tellius, including the vast majority of Micaiah and Ike's armies. The only non-petrified people are known as the "Chosen Ones", all of whom have been placed under the protection of Yune, the Goddess of Chaos. Yune intends to undo the petrification imposed upon the afflicted, but is unable to do it herself, as she lacks the power to do so. She then possesses Micaiah's body to explain that the only way to undo the petrification is to travel to the Tower of Guidance and defeat Ashera. Their first battle in its walls was with Lekain, still holding the Daein blood pact; after his defeat, Micaiah destroyed the pact and set Daein free from its yoke. During this time, it is revealed that Micaiah is Empress Sanaki's long-lost older sister, and the true apostle of Begnion. She fought in the final battle against Ashera, still as Yune's vessel, and through her Yune channeled all of her power to Ike to deal the final blow to Ashera.

Epilogue

After Ashera falls to the forces of the Chosen Ones, Sanaki implored her to stay in Begnion, but Micaiah declined, still dedicated to her true home of Daein, all the while confident in Sanaki's ability to restore Begnion. The two sisters resolved to work to bring their countries closer than ever, this time on equal terms. Micaiah will become the 15th Queen of Daein at her subjects' entreaty, ushering a new era of peace and prosperity after Pelleas. If the automatic A-rank support Micaiah shares with Sothe is retained until the end of the game, she will marry him.

Personality

Micaiah is a very caring and empathetic individual, but tends to be somewhat bitter at times, a result of both her treatment as a Branded prior to the story and the abuse of Daein and its citizens by the Begnion Occupational Army. She cares deeply for the people of Daein, and refuses to stand idly by while they suffer under their control. She pays little mind to her own needs or even her health, always putting the people and her country first; indeed, her Sacrifice skill is effectively her self-sacrificing nature manifesting as a magical power.

While she used to live reclusively, her experiences in the Mad King's War changed her and led her to be devoted to caring for others. Micaiah has little interest in or taste for finery, and as a result in the days before the Laguz Alliance war, she eschewed using her lavish quarters in Daein Keep in favor of living among the people while assisting in the reconstruction of Nevassa.

Throughout her life she has been guided by her visions, and although she often wished she didn't have them and felt as if they were a burden, she nonetheless trusted in them to keep her life on the right path- when her foresight abilities weakened during the Laguz Alliance war, she felt lost without them.

Micaiah is extremely loyal to Daein and Pelleas, in whom she has absolute faith to a fault, to the point of fighting the Laguz Alliance even when she sees no reason to do so, and refusing to give up when faced by the Greil Mercenaries. Even as Pelleas refused to back down or allow surrender in the Laguz Alliance war, and even as she did not want to fight or to indulge her subordinates' racist bloodlust, she was dedicated to continuing to serve him without hesitation, believing him to be Daein's future. Upon learning of the truth of the blood pact, even as Pelleas felt doomed, she encouraged him not to give up and to find a way out, even going so far as volunteering to continue waging the war to buy Pelleas time despite her dislike of the conflict.

Initially, Micaiah held an extreme dislike of Ike as a result of his military actions being responsible for Daein's suffering under Begnion; this was compounded by Sothe's frequent references to his time serving under Ike and the role Ike had played in helping him mature, which greatly frustrated her. After meeting Ike herself while fighting for Begnion, his insistence on finding a way to peacefully resolve whatever problem compelled Daein to fight led her to understand why Sothe held him in such high regard, and so warmed significantly to him even while the two remained enemies.

Overall

Secret Book (Artwork)
Subjective: The following part of this article is based upon the editor's personal experiences and opinions, and therefore may not be applicable for all readers.

Micaiah can be said to be a magical glass cannon, where her high growths in her key stats of Magic, Luck, and Resistance are offset by low Defense, Speed, and HP. This initially severely hinders her physical defensive capabilities, and she will seldom perform Double Attacks on opponents, while often being double-attacked herself by enemies with average or above average speed. Magic attacks will do little, if any damage to her thanks to her near unparalleled Resistance growth rate. Even after gaining enough Speed to avoid double attacks, Micaiah must generally be protected when enemies are near, as her avoid is usually not enough to consistently dodge attacks. Her forced promotion times may also leave her under-leveled, especially when she promotes into a Light Priestess.

However, Micaiah's personal Light Tome, Thani, is very useful, as it deals bonus damage to Paladins and Generals, frequently allowing her to kill them in one shot. Her high Magic also makes her useful for attacking many enemy units as most will have generally low Resistance, alongside her decent Skill and Light Tome's naturally high accuracy she will almost always land powerful and accurate hits. Her high Magic makes her useful with Staves, often resulting in her unique Sacrifice skill being overlooked once she promotes into a Light Sage. However, this skill can still be used to cure status conditions, a plus point in part 1 of the final few chapters, when the boss units are capable of inflicting Silence spells on everyone if Ena is not adjacent to the player's magic users.

On the whole, Micaiah may have certain flaws of her own, but can still prove to be a force to be reckoned with if properly trained.

To increase her usefulness with healing, one may give her a Seraph Robe, which will give her greater durability as well.

Also if one is not using Nephenee, Nealuchi or Edward in their final team, or decided to bench them early, Micaiah makes a great candidate for Wrath, as using Micaiah's unique ability; Sacrifice can safely bring her HP below 30% from the back lines. This essentially giving her a permanent +50% Critical Rate. One can also combine this with the Purge tome given to her in 3-13, making Micaiah an extremely deadly long-range unit, enough so that one might consider using Hammerne and/or blessing the Purge tome.

However, if you do use this tactic, be very wary of where you place Micaiah, as she will not survive anything outside of weak magic attacks with only 30% of her HP. On the flip side, the 50% critical she receives from Wrath can allow her to take out large threats that Thani would not cover. One should also consider giving her Miracle as a means of last-resort insurance.

Alternatively, giving her Gamble with Wrath ensures that she will have a 100% critical rate with reasonable accuracy. A forged Light tome with extra accuracy and might can be used to fully exploit this setup.

On higher difficulties, if survivability is an issue, give her Miracle and Resolve to survive fatal blows and prevent being doubled, respectively. Resolve will even allow her to double many enemies on Normal. If Miracle and Resolve do not suffice, one must use Shade or use a less aggressive strategy.

Should players have issues leveling her up due to her very low defense and HP, her unique ability, Sacrifice, can be used on maps with heal shrubs. Applying her to a heal shrub next to an injured unit is a fantastic way for her to gain levels, as Sacrifice always rewards 10 experience points.

If, by Part 1 endgame, Micaiah is underleveled, you can buy her a weak Light tome or two, and have her continuously attack one of the two Priests wielding Physic staves. This works well because the Priests regenerate 20 HP every turn, and intrinsically have high resistance. If necessary, give Micaiah Paragon to speed up the process. If you have extra cash, you could forge her a -2 might Light tome as well in order to prevent the Priests from dying.

As a Light Priestess, Micaiah is notably the only character besides Sephiran that possesses both a magic cap of 40 and the ability to achieve an S Rank or higher in staves. This makes Micaiah the army's strongest healer in terms of raw numbers. Among candidates for the Fortify staff, only Mist and Elincia really give Micaiah competition due to the superior mobility.

Base Set

Like her Radiant Dawn counterpart, Micaiah has mediocre Spd and a Def stat that leaves her extremely vulnerable to every physical unit in the game. However, she boasts high Atk and Res, making her a powerful Mage character overall that can deal with just about any mage in the game save particularly powerful Green mages.

Micaiah's greatest strength is her possession of the legendary tome Thani, which deals effective damage to Cavalry and Armored units. In most arena battles, thanks in part to her Atk, unless encountering select Distant Counter units, Micaiah can almost single handedly dispatch an entire Armor or Cavalry team on her own with just a little bit of help from some powerful partners.

Micaiah retains her unique Sacrifice, which she gives an ally as much health as she can based on the difference of the ally's missing health and her current HP pool, though cannot Sacrifice past 1 HP remaining on her. It is a powerful supportive skill that only she can use but using it requires a bit of care for her in the aftermath. Guard 3 is her Skill B which prevents enemies from gaining Special Cooldown. Finally, Drive Atk 2 boost allies' Atk if they are within 2 spaces of her. Micaiah in her base is one of the strongest Anti-Unit characters in the game, as her weapon dispatches two common team types in the high tiers of the Arenas.

Counters

As mentioned above, Micaiah has paper-thin Def with mediocre speed. Any physical unit that can get to her will dispatch her with ease. Forged Lightning Breath+ Nowi and Fae can easily target her defenses while not being affected by Thani's bonuses. Though some may struggle to get to her, if they can she is dealt with swiftly. Most green Mages can hold their own against her, especially strong green Mages like Nino and Spring Sharena and high Res ones like Gunnthrá and Sonya. Green Armors units, especially Hector and Surtr packing Distant Counter is her biggest counter, despite her effective damage. If they can survive her attack, they can run through her low defenses. If either pack Distant Counter and Vantage and are in range, Micaiah has no possibility of dispatching them.

Skill Inheritance Options
Micaiah can keep her base skill set to moderate success though she wants a strong offensive attack, either Moonbow for quick raw damage increases or Iceberg to take advantage of her high Res. For more offensive power on the Player's turn, Distant Def can be replaced with Death Blow, giving her the power to secure kills on high priority targets. Desperation 3 combos off of Sacrifice to help her enter the damage range to use it and give her the follow up attack to guarantee a kill secure on most units including a non-Vantage-ranged Hector. Her high Res makes her a good candidate for Res Ploy 3 or other Ploy skill to further cripple her opponents.

Base Set

Festival Micaiah is more or less the exact same as her normal counterpart. Incredibly high Atk and Res but low physical bulk. Her exclusive weapon Dawn Suzu is more or less a Red version of Thani, essentially making her yet again another hard counter for the Armor and Horse dominated meta. While her bases are slightly lower than her normal form, this is due to a new powerful tool, the ability to Dance, making her one of the best refresher units in Heroes in terms of offensive power, though held back slightly due to her limited availability.

She has powerful Passive skills that sync well with her stats including Attack Resistance Bond, strengthening both Atk and Res when adjacent to an ally. Fireflood Dance, boosting the Atk and Res of an ally she Dances for. Finally Resistance Ploy, lowering the Res of anyone with less res than her within the cardinal location she is standing in at the start of her turn.

Unlike most units with Dance or Sing, Festival Micaiah is not soley used for that skill alone. Her offensive advantages allows her to be more flexible than other dancers can.

Counters

Festival Micaiah is a standard dancer, meaning that her overall base stats are lower than most other units. Her even lower Spd and similar Def keeps the same issues of frailty to physical units. Units built to counter mages fare similarly well since Festival Micaiah goes for one large, powerful strike. Fjorm and Lute in particular fare well. Bow and Dagger units who can initiate on her strike through her pitiful defense. Finally, most Dragons can not only survive a blow from her, but deal adaptive damage.

Skill Inheritance Options

Festival Micaiah can either go the standard Dancer build or go for a more specialized role that increases her offensive matchups. Either build takes an offensive skill including Moonbow, Glimmer, or Iceberg for damage.

The standard Dancer build Fury and Wings of Mercy are the usual inherits as they boosts her stats and allow her to teleport to injured allies around the map.

The specialized damage build takes is similar to her base form, taking Death Blow for more damage when initiating and Swordbreaker in increase her match ups against the most common weapon type in the meta. If she takes a Defensive approach, then Quick Riposte allows her to counter nearly all mages and some offensive mage Cavalry units, making her a great bait unit.

Micaiah's Brave Hero variant does not disappoint as the winner of the women's division for the Choose Your Own Hero 3 event. She is offensively powerful with a potent 37 base Atk and Res, able to bait and take on hits from Mages and Staff users and likely hit harder back. Her only downsides are an average Spd and incredibly low defenses. Also, she is a flying unit which means that she can benefit from Flying Teams. Overall, she has a powerful nuking potential especially when her kit is brought into the picture as she is functionally similar to her other two forms, but her weapon is a truly a shining gem.

Light of Dawn keeps her effectiveness to Armored and Cavalry units as expected but with a twist. Not only does it push her Res up by 3, bringing it to base 40, but she also takes the current stat penalties on her target and adds them as boosts onto herself during combat. With the right teammates or usage of her exclusive Brave skill, she can reach deceptively high stats that can obliterate anything that stands in her way. Yune's Whispers is a massive debuffing skill that inflicts -6 Atk/Spd to all enemies who have less Res than hers -3 and if they are also adjacent to an ally. Enemy teams that use tight formations are likely to take this penalty as there are only a small handful of units who can resist it neutrally. Any enemy who takes this debuff will instantly face a -12 difference in their offensive stats with Micaiah.

Sacrifice is her special Assist skill that her original version used, allowing he to pseudo heal allies if needed. She has Atk/Res Bond 4 which not only further pushes her Atk and Res up by 7, but it also removes any stray debuffs that may have been inflicted on her so long as she is adjacent to an ally. Finally Ground Orders grants adjacent non-flier units the ability to move adjacent to any tile next to an ally within two spaces of themselves, granting impressive mobility in certain situations.

Counters

Her Defense is low and any physical unit that is able to jump on her are likely to kill her with a single attack, even some blue units are able to kill her in one attack. Depending on her team comp, Micaiah has little power against other high Res units who are Red such as Julius, Sanaki, and Caeda are able to naturally resist Yune's Whisper. Felicia and Halloween Sakura are able to easily counter her thanks to their weapons and high res as well. Finally her weakness to bows is another means to kill her instantly with effective ranged physical damage.

Skill Inheritance
Iceberg is the only real skill that she needs as she lacks a Special and it plays naturally off of her high Res. Reposition can be considered in exchange for Sacrifice or Draw Back as well.

Base Set

Counters

While being colorless is more of an advantage than a disadvantage when considering her offensive prowess, it also makes her less bulky without that same advantage to use over a color. Her physical bulk does her no favors as she can barely take a hit from a physical unit and her lack of Spd means that most can double her when she initiated on.

Skill Inheritance
Bridal Micaiah has the loadout that is nearly perfect and really only desires a Special Skill. Her ability to buff herself makes Glimmer the clear cut choice as she can reach absurd levels of damage when taking all of the buffing she can receive from herself and with her allies as well.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Micaiah appears as an Ace grab-type spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, using her art from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. When equipped to a playable character, Micaiah grants two support spirit slots and increased damage to magic attacks.

Fire Emblem 0 (Cipher)

Micaiah is illustrated in the trading card game with the following cards:

Uses

The Dawn Priestess is one of the more interesting Green cards out there, with 4 cards. Her Cost 1 can destroy itself to power up another Unit for 10 ATK for the rest of the turn, a perhaps subpar ability but one that fits with her in-game Skills. Her Cost 2 Promotional card allows you to draw a card when you Deploy her if you control a Cost 5 or higher Unit, which is quite useful if your Main Character is a Cost 5 or higher, and it gains 20 ATK for the turn if you Level Up or Grow another Unit. Her Cost 3/2 can be skipped by players as it only gains 10 ATK when it attacks a Rider or Armored Unit, with no other Skills. Her Cost 5/3 is where she really shines, with a once-a-turn Draw+Growth that adds two to her Level/Stack, unlike most Green cards, which only add one to their Level/Stack at a time. She also has a LvS5 Skill that grants all allied Units an additional 10 ATK during your turn, which is made easier to access by her first Skill. Micaiah, in the end, makes for a slightly less-than-wonderful Main Character, but excels amazingly as a supporting card in your Deck, not to mention her 5/3 card's gorgeous art, which can be placed next to Sothe's corresponding card for a beautiful two-card panorama.

Etymology

The name Micaiah is a variant of the name Michael, meaning "Who Is Like God". In Jewish and Christian tradition, Michael the Archangel is the field commander of God's army. In Abrahamic tradition there is also a prophet named Micah, also called Micaiah, after whom a book in the Old Testament is named. There was also a prophet late in "1 Kings" named Micaiah. Furthermore, in Chronicles, it is stated that the mother of the second king of Judah, Abijah, was Micaiah.

Trivia

  • Micaiah came in 9th for females in the Fire Emblem Heroes Choose Your Legends popularity poll. She had 13,491 total votes.
    • She later came in 8th for females in the second Choose Your Legends popularity poll. She had 15,493 total votes.
    • She then won first place for females and 2nd place in general in the third Choose Your Legends popularity poll, with 54,343 total votes.
  • Micaiah's artwork design could have been based on one of Caeda's many artworks from Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, particularly that they both have birds featured and have a hand out to catch them.
  • Micaiah has the highest Luck growth rate in Radiant Dawn, at 80%, and Resistance growth rate in Radiant Dawn, at 90%, and tied with Soren for highest magic growth rate in Radiant Dawn, at 80%.
  • Micaiah also has the distinction of being one of few playable characters who can obtain SS rank in more than one weapon: Light and Staff.
  • On a minor note, Micaiah, a Light Mage/Sage/Priestess, is of the Dark affinity. This is extremely ironic, as her weapon of choice and her title, the Priestess of Dawn, which are associated with Dawn, Day, and Light are offset by the implications her affinity brings, particularly that of darkness and perhaps, by extension, Dusk and Night.
  • At 90%, Micaiah has the second highest Resistance growth of any playable unit in the series to date, second only to Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade's Karel, who has 100%.
  • Micaiah's eyes are normally gold, but they become red when Yune speaks through her.
  • If she is recruited via DLC in Fire Emblem Awakening, Micaiah will start as a Dark Mage with the Shadowgift skill. Since Dark Mages can already wield dark magic, Shadowgift is only useful if the player changes Micaiah's class.
  • Her Awakening artwork depicts her, in Dark Mage attire, holding Micaiah's Pyre.
  • Excluding the cast of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Micaiah is one of the few units whose status screen portrait changes at some point of the game, a trait she shares with Marth, Alm, Celica, Ike, Volke, Sothe, Kris and Lucina. Her change happens when she promotes at the end of Chapter 1-E and when she promotes for the second time at the beginning of Chapter 4-E-1 in Radiant Dawn.
  • Micaiah is the first female Lord character to become the leader of her own kingdom. This will be followed up by Edelgard and (if the player made their avatar female) Corrin and Byleth.
  • Micaiah is one of only three magic-wielding Fire Emblem protagonists, alongside Celica and Robin; she is the only one who wields only magic with no physical weapons. As the magic weapon types of Radiant Dawn are completely different from those of Celica's game Gaiden and Awakening, Micaiah is also the first and only protagonist to wield light magic or staves (not counting reclassing in later games).
    • Byleth and Edelgard also possess a Budding Talent in Faith and Reason magic, respectively, but because of how magic works in Three Houses, the two have to learn the topics rather than starting off with it.
