Profile[]
Morgan is the child of Robin whose gender is always the opposite of Robin. Similar to Robin, Morgan is an enigma, having developed intense amnesia, though they at the very least can recognize Robin and knows that they aspire to be a tactician like them. They have no memories of the apocalyptic future the other children hail from, though it is possible that they are since Robin can marry a member of the Shepherds, their existence confirmed if they have a sibling. On the other hand, Robin can marry a character who is dead in the original timeline such as Basilio or Emmeryn. Morgan can also be the child of one of the returning children themselves, making them a complete anomaly.
What remains consistent regardless of their parentage is that Morgan was apparently accompanying a much older Robin for a time. Due to unknown circumstances, Morgan was thrown into the flow of time like the other children and wound up in the past. Waking up in a grass field, Morgan discovered that they lost all of their memories that did not pertain to Robin. Lost in the the world, Morgan took their knowledge of Robin as their sole lead and began to wander the continent in hopes of reuniting with them.
In Morgan's paralogue, they eventually arrive in the Ruins of Time. Alone, Morgan is attacked by Risen. Luckily, Robin, Chrom, and Chrom's army arrive to the Ruins of Time in search of the legendary Naga's Tear. Morgan and Robin eventually meet and talk. Though Morgan is confused by Robin's younger appearance, they are happy to be reunited and join Chrom's army. After leaving the ruins, Morgan is shocked to learn about the future and the fact that they time-traveled. They show distress over the fact that they cannot remember anything else aside from their memories of Robin and the fact that they are trying to become a great tactician like them. Nevertheless they take joy in knowing that they will be with Robin more closely now, eager to learn from them firsthand.
After the war, Morgan would never recover their memories; however, they were not troubled by this. Scholars would speculate that they came from a different timeline from the other children.
The Future Past[]
In the Future Past DLC, Male Morgan appears as the boss for The Future Past 1 while Female Morgan is the boss of The Future Past 2. Both are loyal to Grima, and lead the assaults against the remaining children. If Morgan has been recruited before attempting these chapters, Robin can end their turn next to them resulting in either an internal dialogue (if Robin and Morgan are the same gender) or a special conversation (if Robin and Morgan are opposite genders). After their internal dialogue or conversation, Morgan will leave the map - their faith in Grima unshaken, yet their will to "kill [their] own friends" shattered.
In The Future Past 3, if both Morgans left/were killed in the Future Past 1 and 2, Grima reveals that he/she had manipulated their memories. This suggests that due to the nature of the Outrealms, Grima already had one child, while it is possible that the other one had came at a different time. It is unknown what happens to them if they left the map, as they are not mentioned at all after Grima is killed/vanishes.
Personality[]
Morgan is an aspiring tactician due to idolizing Robin and shares a loving bond with them. Part of this is due to the fact that, despite their amnesia, they have very clear memories with Robin's older self. Their dream is to surpass Robin with them enthusiastically studying tactics with Robin and on their own. In their attempt to outwit Robin, they try to pull juvenile pranks on Robin, but they are able to stay ahead of Morgan's ploys. By Robin's own admission, by the end of their support chain, Morgan is a quick learner and is catching up to them, thus they are motivated to stay ahead to motivate Morgan as well. Morgan adores Robin, seizing all opportunities to learn from them and quickly takes any advice given to them to heart. They even adopt some of Robin's verbatim, quoting Robin's "invisible ties" line to their other parent.
Morgan is a cheerful individual, maintaining a spirit of innocence and an optimistic outlook of life. Though they find war terrible, they hardly dwell on these sour thoughts, though Morgan is empathetic to the painful memories the other children held of the future, especially their sibling's. Morgan is a kid at heart and is quick to play with others. They treasure any memory they make, whether new or old, as every experience is new and exciting to them.
Though they are in no particular rush to recover all of their memories, Morgan is depressed over their lost memories of their other parent, and in female Morgan's case, her older sibling. Their desperation to remember leads them to take drastic methods to reclaim it such as smashing their heads with books and wooden posts. They appreciate their family's love for them and any small memory they recover, though few in number, are precious gifts. Female Morgan in particular admits to her sibling that though there are likely painful, dark memories, she does not mind having those since there will also be happy ones too. Morgan is ultimately a loving child to their family and hopes to stay with them when the war concludes.
The above describes their shared traits, though both genders of Morgan have slightly different quirks when interacting with the other children characters.
Female Morgan tends to be more outspoken and wacky, and at times is shown to be rather insensitive about the feelings of others; like when she decides to accompany Inigo on a night of the town solely because she wants to watch him crash and burn with the ladies, as well as when she pulls on Yarne's ears despite his protests. She is also a bit of a prankster, as shown in a Hot Spring Scramble talk with Cynthia, where they plan on pranking the people who want to go into the hot springs. Still, she isn't completely heartless, as shown in her Hot Spring Scramble talk with Severa where she listens to her woes and gives her advice.
Male Morgan is more mellow than his female counterpart and has a more unique understanding of his fellow peers, as he bonds with Owain's theatrics and truly understands his general flair, showcasing a bit of a dorky side to him whenever he is with his fellow Justice Cabal member. He also has a love of bugs in general, though this does not extend to roaches as exemplified by his support with Noire and his sibling support with Lucina.
Morgan moves around the most and is the most shamelessly self driven out of everyone in the army.

Morgan's starting class is determined by the other parent: Morgan will be the base class of the other parent unless Robin marries Olivia, Chrom, Lucina, or Walhart, in which case Morgan will be a Tactician.
Morgan's stat growths and stat caps are too numerous to list as Robin has 64 different Trait combinations and Robin's spouse, therefore Morgan's other parent, can be any of the Awakening cast, including the children characters who have different traits depending on their parents.

Base Class[]
- Note: Tactician is considered Morgan's base class since their character portraits, as well as the unit viewer, showing them in Tactician clothes. However, their starting class when recruited depends on who their non-Robin parent is.
As the child of Robin, Morgan is the most diverse character of the cast when it comes to their stats and builds as Robin has 64 Trait combinations and can marry any opposite gender character in the game, including other child characters. As a result, Morgan can be one of the strongest characters in the game, if not outright the strongest, especially when tailored directly by the player from the beginning of the game. At the same time, this may require very precise allocations and pairings to draw out this maximum potential, but these should rarely be a negative for them. Even when not optimizing these factors, Morgan still ends up as one of the best available characters in Awakening.
By virtue of being Robin's mandatory child, Morgan has immediate access to Robin's unique class, the Tactician giving them Veteran for faster level-ups when using the Pair Up mechanic and Solidarity to grant adjacent allies bonus critical hits chance and critical evade. Once promoted, Morgan gains Ignis, often syncing well with their high and usually balanced Strength and Magic stats. Rally Spectrum is the best Rally skill in the game since it boosts all stats of allies by 2 except for Movement and can stack these boosts on other Rally skills.
Reclassing[]
As the child of Robin, Morgan is gifted with the ability to change into all gender permitting non-special classes. Their true starting class is the base class of their non-Robin parent, unless their other parent is Chrom, Olivia, Walhart, or Lucina, in which they become a default Tactician. Morgan's immediate benefit is that they are the opposite gender of Robin. Female Morgan will have access to the Pegasus Knight and Troubadour classes unlike male Robin. Male Morgan will have the Fighter and Barbarian classes unlike female Robin. Morgan as a result has incredible flexibility and does not necessarily need to stick with their Tactician default starting class. More often than not, Morgan will excel in whatever role they are given, especially if time and effort is put into giving them the skills they need, of which there is not shortage of due to their innate access to the universal class pool.
Inheritance[]
Female Morgan Female Morgan is the only child character other than Nah who can become a Manakete if Robin either marries Nowi, Tiki, or Nah. Morgan is the only female child character able to become a Taguel and only if Robin marries Panne. Aside from these two instances, Morgan's mother does not provide much else in terms of reclassing options as she naturally has access to all her classes by the virtue of being male Robin's daughter.
Robin can immediately pass down some male exclusive skills from the Fighter and Barbarian class lines. Two of her best options are Counter, allowing her to deal some damage back at her foe if she takes damage, and Rally Strength, which allows Morgan access to all possible Rally skills from her alone, thus she can flexibly fill in any missing Rally that a fellow Rally Bot unit may not have/be running. Both of these skills comes from the Warrior class. Female Morgan can inherit some special skills from some mothers such as Olivia giving her Luck +4, Aversa giving Shadowgift, and Lucina and her sisters giving her Aether. Finally, since Robin can marry child characters, Donnel's Villager skills Underdog and Aptitude can be inherited through his daughter. Other Fighter and Barbarian skills that Robin does not pass to her can be inherited from a child character mother that has them.
Male Morgan Male Morgan can inherit Taguel if he is the son of Yarne and is his only transformation class option. He also can inherit the Villager class if Morgain is the son of Donnel or a son of one of the male children fathered by Donnel. This gives him access to Aptitude and Underdog, though the Villager class itself is not particularly useful long term due to its low stat caps. Aside from these two instances, Morgan's father does not provide much else in terms of reclassing options as he naturally has access to all of his classes by the virtue of being female Robin's son.
Robin can immediately pass down some female exclusive skills from the Pegasus Knight and Troubadour class lines. Most notably is the Galeforce skill, which is the overall best skill to acquire due to the power of its auto-refresh ability whenever Morgan scores a kill. If his father is a child character with access to Galeforce, Robin or her husband can pass down other worthy skills such as Dual Support+ to increase the stat bonuses from Dual Supports. Morgan also has several unique skill inheritances as he can get Rightful King from Chrom or a son of Chrom, Luck +4 from Inigo if he inherited it from Olivia, and Conqueror from Walhart.

Base Set[]
Male Morgan is a Red Tome Infantry unit who is mostly lukewarm in terms of performance as he has a decent 33 Atk and 34 Spd. His mixed bulk is rather low with 57 physical and 63 magical. Against the plethora of Red Tome Infantry units in the game, Male Morgan meanders somewhere in the middle as he is not oppressively strong enough to nuke opponents nor is he sufficiently bulky to tank hits. His one saving grace is perhaps the fact that he is a relatively easy merging unit due to being available at 4-stars. While he may not excel, he is reliable in the role the player gives him.
Grima's Truth grants him an innate Def+3 boost to give him a slightly better physical bulk score of 60. After combat, he inflicts Atk/Spd-5 to foes within two spaces of himself and grants an Atk/Spd+5 buff to himself and his allies within two spaces for 1 turn. As such, the weapon is particularly strong as a supportive weapon as it can help to soften an opponent so either he or an ally can finish off particularly strong offensive units. His later refine almost completely changes the effect. At the start of his turn, he inflicts Atk/Spd/Res-5 on the nearest foes within four spaces through their next action and grants an Atk/Spd/Res+5 buff on himself for 1 turn. If he starts combat with at least 25% of his HP, Male Morgan will then inflict additional penalties onto his foe's four core stats based on the current penalties they have +4. For example, his foe under the tome's start of turn penalty would receive Atk/Spd/Res-9 on top of the visible penalty for a total of Atk/Spd/Res-14. Because of the vastly different effects of his Refined and Unrefined tome, Morgan is perhaps one of the rare units that is not necessarily stronger by having his weapon refined as his Unrefined tome makes him a decent support unit while the Refined tome boosts his offense.
Dragon Fang boosts his Atk by 50%. Dull Ranged neutralizes any bonuses his foe has during combat if they used a ranged weapon. Spur Defense Resistance grants adjacent allies Def/Res+3 during combat.
Counters[]
Male Morgan with his Unrefined tome has difficulty dealing meaningful damage on his own since he needs to survive combat to get the effect going. A unit that can get the jump on him removes the majority of his tome's effect. Baiting him out with strong blue units who can counterattack him makes for a decent option as well due to the color advantage the blue units have. Against a Refined tome Male Morgan, Grima's Truth does not always apply its effect on the best target possible, thus clever positioning can place it on a unit that is hardly affected by it while the player can safely send out his counter.
Skill Inheritance[]
Male Morgan's base kit needs a near overhaul to better deal with the unique effects of his tome. For those using his Unrefined tome, focusing on increasing his supportive capabilities is his best route. A Rally Skill, namely Rally Atk/Spd+ will help with immediate buffing of an ally and for scoring. R Duel Infantry helps with scoring though Fury can be considered just for the flat stat increases. Windsweep will help in allowing him to engage safely against foes whom he has higher Spd without worrying about retaliation, though his Spd is not the highest. Skill C is flexible but optimal choices would include Pulse Smoke, Joint Hone/Drive skills, and Stat Smoke skills.

Base Kit[]
Female Morgan was the first blue tome flier unit in Heroes to be in the regular summoning pool, making her a unique unit type to summon until Brave Gullveig was released over 5 years after her debut.. She is a relatively balanced unit favoring a middling Atk, Spd, and Res stat for a Book II unit, but trades this off for a lower physical bulk score. She is a great addition for unit diversity, though she is overshadowed by some very powerful, albeit very limited units like Peony, Legendary Azura, and Summer Laegjarn. Morgan nowadays can be a solid supportive unit, if not a fairly basic one and is helped by a Resplendent form that gave her a necessary boost to make her somewhat usable in the evolving meta over seven years since her release.
Female Morgan began with a Blárserpent tome, boosting he defensive stats when under attack from a ranged unit. While this helps her greatly tank hits against Mages and Staff units, it hardly affects her match ups against Dagger units and especially Bow units even if she runs Iote's Shield.
Her new tome, Father's Tactics, takes advantage of her high Res as she gains +4 to her core stats during combat if she has higher Res than her opponent at the start of combat. When refined, she gains a supportive effect, giving allies within two spaces Atk/Spd +3 and then giving her self the same buff if she is at least within two spaces of an ally during combat, giving he a massive +7 Atk/Spd and +4 Def/Res during combat with all conditions met. It can take some set up, but the payout can easily make up for it.
Iceberg is a perfect Special for Female Morgan since it uses her excellent Res for bonus damage. Mirror Stance grants her +4 Atk/Res when under attack. Guard slows her enemy's special cooldown so long as her HP is at least 80% or more at the start of combat. Finally, Attack Ploy inflicts Atk -5 to all enemies who have less Res than her and is currently in the four cardinal directions at the start of her turn.
Counters[]
A good physical unit, even some Reds, can easily tear through Female Morgan's low Def. Some Green Mages can still inflict solid damage and Merric in particular can take advantage of his Flier effectiveness from Excalibur. Bow users easily shoot her down, even if she runs Iote's Shield.
Skill Inheritance[]
Female Morgan needs Reposition for a Support Skill as it gives her better positioning utility and when on a Flier team, she and her teammates can freely move themselves around however necessary.
For her Father's Tactics tome, Fury is a good budget option just to give her better stats at the cost of some recoil. Skills like Chill Resistance and Desperation help improve her offense. Alternatively, she can use Link skills, mainly Attack Speed Link to buff her allies before giving her in-combat buffs from Father's Tactics. Finally she can keep her Ploy, but also Goad Fliers or Ward Fliers further buff her allies during combat and will stack on the existing effects.
Alternatively, Female Morgan can function as a decent Flier Blárblade user as she can take advantage of Flier buffs. As such, Glimmer can replace Iceberg while the standard load out of Fury/Swift Sparrow in tandem with Desperation can help her overwhelm her opponents.

Base Set[]
Fallen Female Morgan is an Axe Flier unit who is particularly strong thanks to a strong 39 Atk and a solid mixed bulk of 81 physical and 75 magical. Her low 17 Spd may be a huge detriment and opens her up to being double attacked, but like many low Spd units, she has skills that cover this mainly in boosting her offensive capabilities.
Axe of Despair has a special trigger acceleration effect, reducing the cooldown of her Special by 1. Her axe has a ton of effects but is mainly empowered by the first effect. If Female Morgan has at least 25% of her HP at the start of combat, she inflicts Atk/Def-6 on her foe during combat. After this, she gains more effects depending on the sum of her total bonus value and her foe's penalty values, gaining a total of three effects under the highest threshold. If the sum is 5 or more, her foe loses the ability to perform follow-up attacks. If the sum is 10 or more, she gains a guaranteed follow-up attack. If the sum is 15 or more, she inflicts "special cooldown charge -1" on her foe. Fallen Female Morgan thrives off of inflicting debuffs onto her foe and greatly values allies who can give her bonus stats. Just with her weapon alone, she starts off with a 12 point calculation and needs 3 more to fulfill the full axe effect.
Glimmer syncs nicely with her goals of gaining bonus stats to pile raw damage onto her foes. Attack Defense Solo allows her to gain Atk/Def+7 during combat if she is not adjacent to an ally. Dive-Bomb allows her to immediately perform her follow-up attack before her foe can counterattack if both have at 80% HP before the start of combat, allowing her to shut out some enemies. Attack Defense Menace is a new type of Skill C that inflicts Atk/Def-6 on the nearest foes in four spaces and grants Atk/Def+6 to herself. Unlike the Threat series source that this skill comes from, it only affects the nearest foe and not all foes in range. It can be a bit awkward to get it to target the right foes, but the penalty and bonus it gives to her foe and herself respectively serves only to fuel her Axe effect even more.
Counters[]
Fallen Female Morgan thrives off of her ability to inflict debuffs and gain bonuses, thus any sort of unit that can remove these can help to depower her. Lull skills can also help to shut off any bonuses she brings into combat, but they are subject to the buffs her allies give her. Skills that also stop attack priority changes or Null Follow-Up turns off part of her oppressive offense. Finally, Reds with solid bulk are the best ways to weather out her attacks since most are fast enough to score double attacks against her.
Skill Inheritance[]
Fallen Female Morgan's only empty skill is her Assist, which Reposition fills nicely for its general utility. Her base kit is already solid on its own to the point that any replacement only serves to fill out specific niches like giving her Distant Counter, Sol/Noontime, and an Iote's Shield seal to make her virtually unstoppable and near impossible to kill.

Morgan is the daughter of the legendary tactician Robin, and she aspires to follow in his footsteps and become a tactician herself. She came to Askr from a future version of Robin's world and...doesn't she look a little intimidating?
|
Well, there's a reason for that. It turns out the version of the future she came from was a world of despair, where Grima had possessed Robin and made a servant of Morgan!
|
Morgan, wishing to become Grima's pawn, wrapped herself in an aura of darkness. She battled Chrom and his friends, who had been summoned to this future gone wrong by Naga, the Divine Dragon.
|
Morgan only embarked on this path because she couldn't separate what Robin had become from the gentle father she once knew. I'm sure his kindness still lives on in Morgan, somewhere deep down!

Etymology[]
Morgan comes from the Old Welsh masculine name Morcant, which was derived from Welsh mor "sea" and cant "circle". It's also the modern form of Morgen, which was used by Geoffrey of Monmouth in the 12th century for the Arthurian sorceress Morgan le Fay, who was unnamed in earlier stories. Geoffrey probably did not derive it from the Welsh masculine name Morgan, which would have been spelled Morcant in his time. He may have based it on the Irish name Moirgen. When spelled "Morgen," it is also the German word for "morning" and "tomorrow".
Morgan is an androgynous name, allowing it to be used for both genders.
The Japanese name, Marc, is derived from Marcus, a name thought to be derived from the name of the Roman god Mars.
Trivia[]
- Morgan's Japanese name, Marc, is also the default name of Mark from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade.
- In Japan, Children's Day (子供の日, kodomo no hi) is celebrated on May 5, the same day as Morgan's birthday. May 5 is also Cinco de Mayo.
- Morgan is also the only child character in Awakening whose birthday is not the same day of a Japanese release of a Fire Emblem game.
- Morgan placed ninth in the Female and fifteenth in the Male category for the Awakening Character Popularity Polls in Japan.
- Both Morgan's Japanese voice actors, Yoshimasa Hosoya and Miyuki Sawashiro, are also one of the voices for Robin.
- Miyuki Sawashiro also voices Camilla in Fire Emblem Fates.
- Yoshimasa Hosoya also voices Shigure in Fates.
- Female Morgan shares her English voice actress, Nicole Balick (aka Nicole Karrer), with Phila and Yelena from Fire Emblem Warriors.
- Male Morgan shares his English voice actor, Todd Haberkorn (aka Todd Stone), with Joshua from The Sacred Stones and Siegbert from Fates in their appearances in Heroes, as well as Metodey from Three Houses.
- Also, unlike Kana, Male Morgan is the only Avatar child to have a male voice actor in both the English and Japanese versions of the game.
- Although not possible in a single playthrough, Female Morgan has access to the most amount of skills in the game, able to learn 86 possible skills out of the 93 learnable/inheritable skills in the game and from DLC.
- Morgan is tied with Lucina for the most amount of skills able to learn/inherit in a single playthrough with 74 skills total. She can only accomplish this if she is the daughter of Nah who passes down a male-exclusive skill.
- Should Female Morgan or her sister inherit Rally Strength from Robin, they will be one of the only Awakening units in the game who can learn all Rally skills. DLC Katarina and Palla are also able to learn all Rally Skills.
- Male Morgan's official artwork depicts him wielding Alm's Blade while female Morgan's official artwork depicts her wielding Goetia.
- Female Morgan can only wield Goetia as a Dark Mage and Sorcerer, or any other magic-using classes, including the Tactician and Grandmaster, if she gets Shadowgift from Aversa.
- If Morgan's mother is Lissa or Emmeryn, and she S-Supports with Owain or a Chrom-fathered Brady or Inigo, their status screens will refer to each other as "Companion", instead of "Husband" or "Wife". This also occurs with any Morgan whose father was a son of Chrom if he S-Supports Lucina. The reason for this was probably to remove the implications of an incestuous relationship.
- However, their Event Tile conversations are still as romantic as any other married couples'.
- Due to the fact that Robin can marry any character in the game, Morgan can potentially be the descendant of Marth and Caeda through Chrom, Lissa, Emmeryn, Lucina, Owain, and any of Chrom's other children, Ike through Priam, or Naga through Tiki.
- Due to both Morgan's unique options of parents, they can possibly have both Exalted Blood and Fell Blood if Robin marries a Ylissean Royalty member. They share this trait with Lucina and Owain if Robin is their parent.
- Female Morgan can go even further by having Naga's Divine Blood and Grima's Fell Blood if Robin marries Tiki.
- Morgan uses Body Type 2 from the Avatar creation system, though they possess unique hair styles and faces.
- Regardless of Morgan's mother, her Manakete model will always be modeled after Nowi's.
- Despite that Male Morgan claims that he does not remember Lucina in his recruitment conversation with Chrom or Robin, in his sibling support conversation with Lucina, Morgan has memories of her wielding the Falchion in the future.
- However, this might be explained in a similar manner to Robin not remembering their name when first meeting Chrom, Frederick, and Lissa.
- Because they are the children of Robin, Male and Female Morgan are the only characters in Awakening to not have a confession CG. They share this trait with Male and Female Kana in Fates.
- In The Future Past, if the Robin Grima is possessing is male, Grima will note that there are two Morgans that were sent after the children. However, if the Robin Grima is possessing is a female, Grima implies that there is only one Morgan that was sent. This seems to be a localization issue, as the Japanese version does not have this discrepancy—Grima mentions two Morgans regardless of the body he is possessing.
- In Hot-Spring Scramble, Female Morgan's conversation with Cynthia and Male Morgan's conversation with Inigo reveal that they have two of the exact same books that belonged to their father/mother. Interestingly enough, in The Future Past, the conversation Morgan has with Robin had Robin giving them their favorite tactic book, which Morgan already had one of. This hints that the Morgan met in the game is possibly the same Morgan from The Future Past.
- Morgan is part of the Justice Cabal along with Cynthia and Owain.
- In Heroes, Male Morgan's artwork depicts him in the Tactician class wielding Grima's Truth, whereas Female Morgan is depicted as a combination of the Tactician and Dark Flier classes while wielding Thoron.
- It would normally be impossible for Male Morgan to wield Grima's Truth as a Tactician, as the tome is inaccessible to the player, and even if they did acquire it somehow, only Female Morgan can inherit the Shadowgift skill.
- Female Morgan is the winner of the 21st Voting Gauntlet (War of the Tacticians) in Fire Emblem Heroes.
