“Heheh... The heads of the Grannvale Traitors should fetch us a nice little sum!”
—Myos talking to himself in Chapter 4 regarding Sigurd and his army.

Myos is an enemy character from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. He is the Duke of Tófa Castle, and the youngest brother of Duke Daccar and the late King of Silesse, the uncle of Prince Lewyn, and brother-in-law to Queen Lahna.

Profile[]

Myos is first mentioned in chapter 2 by Lewyn where it is revealed that he and his brother have been a constant critic of their nephew, Lewyn.

When Daccar led a coup against Lahna and Lewyn in Chapter 4, Myos joined in due to his refusal to allow Prince Lewyn to ascend the throne. Myos commands an army to attack Sigurd's army, relying on his trusted commander Díthorba supported by Cuvuli's mage brigade.

He is later killed by Sigurd's army. After his death, the village elder in Tófa was appointed the governor until a proper replacement could be found.

Myos is later revealed to have been a pawn of his elder brother, Daccar, who used Myos assault in his task to distracting Lahna's forces from Duke Daccar laying siege to Silesse Castle.

Personality[]

Myos was described as a greedy ruler, and viewed Sigurd's arrival in Silesia as a chance to claim the bounty on the now wanted Grannvale noble. Myos viewed Lewyn as too young and foolish to rule Silesse. While Myos got along well with his subordinates, the elder of Tófa says most citizens supported Lahna over Myos.

Subjective: The following part of this article is based upon the editor's personal experiences and opinions, and therefore may not be applicable for all readers.

Myos is one of the many barons who are fought in this game. As he possesses the Tornado tome, any unit without good resistance stands a good chance of sustaining serious damage when attempting to fight him.

Quotes[]

“Traitors! Your heads will fetch me a fine price in Grannvale!”
—Myos' battle quote

Battle Conversations[]

Vs Lewyn

  • Myos: Hmph. If isn't Queen Lahna's idiot son. So you've come back.
  • Lewyn: Sorry, uncle, but for Silesse's sake, I must kill you.
“Urgh... This can't be happening...”
—Myos' death quote

Non-Canon Appearances[]

Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War (Mitsuki Oosawa Manga)[]

In the manga adaptation by Mitsuki Oosawa, Myos is given a unique appearance.

Trivia[]

  • As Myos' older brother (Lewyn's father) is stated to have carried Major Forseti Blood in the Fire Emblem 20th Anniversary Encyclopedia artbook, Myos and Daccar should have at least Minor blood, but for some reason, neither of them do. This is perhaps due to the game engine of FE4, creating generic and minor bosses with minimal resources, preventing them from having holy blood, nor luck or personal skills.
  • Myos's in-game portrait is a recolor of Elliot, a prior boss who appears to be much younger then Myos.
