—In-game description from The Sacred Stones.
The Necromancer (ネクロマンサー Nekuromansā) is an enemy-only combat magical class that is exclusive to Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (only playable in Creature Campaign). The personal class of Prince Lyon of Grado, the Necromancer class employs Dark magic and Staves as its equipment of choice. The class itself serves as a unique third-tier equivalent of the Summoner class due to its ability to summon Phantoms. The Phantoms summoned by the Necromancer class are higher in Luck and generally stronger than that of a Summoner's Phantoms.

Necromancers are users of necromancy, a form of magic in which the user attempts to summon the spirit of a deceased person as either a ghost or reanimate them bodily, originally for the purpose of divination.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- It is a common misconception that the Necromancer class is able to use all four magic types in the Japanese version of the game. This takes its roots from the opening class roll of The Sacred Stones, where the class is showcased casting Thunder.
- The class could be considered a successor to Dark Prince as they are both the ultimate Dark magic based class used by a Prince under manipulation of evil forces.
- In The Sacred Stones, the Necromancer is the only playable class that is able to have more than one S-rank in their weapon uses.
