Nidhogg has extremely high accuracy and might relative to its weight. Its luck boost may seem like a modest boon, but ranged units will appreciate its boost to their evasion and critical evasion. Unfortunately, only two characters(other than a Creature Campaign exclusive character) in Sacred Stones are natively capable of wielding bows, and many players might miss the campaign's lone [[Orion's Bolt]]. Units that can gain bows upon promotion would generally prefer to use the even more effective [[Garm]]. Because of this, Nidhogg will often never see use despite its impressive stats.

Nidhogg (ニーズヘッグ Nīzuheggu) is a sacred Bow that appears in both Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones and Fire Emblem: Awakening. Also known as the Serpent Bow, Nidhogg is, alongside the Winged Lance Vidofnir, one of Frelia's Sacred Twin treasures.

Extremely powerful, Nidhogg is a double Class Buster; Its might is doubled against Monster opponents and tripled (in the Japanese version; Doubled in the English version) against Flying opponents.

Background

During the events of The Sacred Stones, Nidhogg is, along with the Winged Lance Vidofnir, given to Eirika and Ephraim's army by Innes at the end of Chapter 17. The bow is then used alongside its other sacred counterparts to eliminate the threat that the Demon King poses to the continent of Magvel.
