Ochs, located in the central-western region of the Adrestian Empire, is the domain of House Ochs.

Profile[]

The Barony of Ochs occupies the northern half of the western peninsula known as Fódlan's Fangs. To the north lies the County of Nuvelle, and to the south lies the County of Hevring.

House Ochs suffered the loss of its family head in the Dagda and Brigid War of Imperial Year 1175. The next head of the Barony was to be Monica, the daughter of the new Baron Ochs. However, while enrolled at the Officers Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery in 1179, Monica went missing shortly before graduation. Monastery staff surmised that she ran away for unknown reasons. In 1180, Baron Ochs, while attempting to locate his daughter, received a proposition; the exchange of a Hero's Relic for his daughter's safe return. He purchased what he believed to be a Hero's Relic off the black market in Enbarr, but it was actually Vajra-Mushti, a Hero's Relic replica crafted after the War of Heroes, which had been stolen from the village of Kupala in the Leicester Alliance.

Baron Ochs became a Demonic Beast when he succumbed to the power of Vajra-Mushti while attempting to fend off Byleth, Balthus, and Hapi from retrieving it. He died after being defeated.

This was all in vain, as Monica was actually kidnapped by Solon and the Death Knight and murdered by Those Who Slither in the Dark so that one of their members, Kronya would be able to pose as her and infiltrate the monastery.

"End of spoilers. It's a pleasure doing business with you!"
