Od (オード, Ōdo, Odr in the Japanese version; romanized as Odo in Japanese material) is one of the Twelve Crusaders, possesses the title of Sword Saint (剣聖 Kensei), is the original wielder of the Balmung, and is the founder of the country of Isaach.

Od's known blood descendents are: Mananan, Mariccle, Ayra, Chulainn, Galzus, Shannan, Ulster, Larcei, and Mareeta.

Etymology

Odo is a possible corruption of Óðr, a figure from Norse mythology. Od is an angliziced interpretation of Óð, another name for him.
