“He should not have done that... Be careful. The water is poisonous to the living.”
—Odesse

Odesse is a character from Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. He is a member of Those Who Slither in the Dark.

Profile[]

Three Houses[]

Verdant Wind[]

Odesse is an Agarthan Dark Bishop with the power to summon Flying Demonic Beasts. After the fall of Shambhala and the death of most of Those who Slither in the Dark, he accompanies the newly reborn Nemesis and the reanimated Ten Elites on their vengeful crusade towards Garreg Mach Monastery, along with a platoon of surviving Agarthans.

At the start of the final battle, he watches one of his soldiers die after attempting to traverse Lamine's poisonous swamp, warning the rest of his soldiers to avoid the swamp at all costs. Should he be approached, he will summon Flying Demonic Beasts to his position. If defeated, the remaining Agarthans will flee from the battlefield.

Three Hopes[]

Odesse is featured as the boss of Scarlet Blaze's paralogue Enshrouded Memories, where he is spotted in the dungeon of a hidden Agarthan fortress in western Faerghus that used to belong to Cornelia. He takes notice of Lysithea's dark powers, and assuming her to be a kindred spirit, wonders why she, Edelgard, Hapi, and Shez are attacking him, but Lysithea angrily rebuffs him and tells him about all the harm his group has caused.

Trivia[]

  • Odesse is the only named Agarthan to not be fought on any route besides Verdant Wind.
  • Odesse's ability to summon and ally with monsters is reminiscent of the Crest of Timotheos. Considering the fact that Cornelia, a member of those who slither in the dark, experimented on Hapi, the last known bearer of the Crest of Timotheos, it is possible that Odesse's powers are the result of these unknown experiments.
  • Odesse's death quote is bugged and will not play unless he's killed with attack animations off or you skip the enemy phase turn.
  • In Three Hopes, Odesse's class is changed to Warlock instead of Dark Bishop.
