—Opening Narration

Of Sacred Blood is Chapter 13 of Fire Emblem Awakening.

Story[]

Shockingly, the new King of Plegia agrees to meet Chrom and Robin to negotiate assistance in the looming Valmese invasion at Carrion Isle. The new King of Plegia is none other than Validar who agrees to lend Plegia's fleet of ships for their use, though he refuses to offer any forces, claiming that Plegia's defense is thin and should their plans fail, would need forces to defend it. Chrom accepts the terms but before they leave, Validar introduces his new hierophant who has the exact same visage and name as Robin. Before they can inquire further, Aversa quickly escorts them out, warning them that they have a dangerous campaign ahead.

That night, Robin is still trying to comprehend the hierophant, but their mind suddenly contacted by Validar, who reveals that he is their father and that they are meant to fulfill a greater purpose. A sudden appearance of Chrom, seeing Robin in strife, forces Validar out of their head. Robin immediately tells Chrom of this new revelation, but they are given only a few moments to mull over this before Frederick appears with news that their camp is being attacked by Risen.

The Shepherds are able to fend off a majority of the Risen, but one manages to ambush Chrom. Just as he is about to be hit, Marth suddenly appears, blurting out "Father" as she kills the Risen. Chrom immediately picks up that she called him "Father" and Marth takes him to the side to explain everything. She merely tells Chrom to look at her eyes, which Chrom notices has the Brand of the Exalt in the same location as his newborn daughter. Overcome with emotion, Lucina embraces her father, revealing to him, Robin, and her mother that she came from the future. Sent by Naga, she and the other children of the Shepherds, all of whom have been separated from each other during the time travel, arrived in the past to stop the resurrection of the Fell Dragon Grima, who had laid waste to the future and killed all of the Shepherds.

Strategy[]

Subjective: The following part of this article is based upon the editor's personal experiences and opinions, and therefore may not be applicable for all readers.

At the beginning of the chapter, Henry will inform you that the ravens have told him that there will be reinforcements coming out of the several forts scattered throughout the map. There are also three paths to take to reach the boss; a left, middle and right path. Using the middle path results in reaching the boss faster but will result in a loss of some potentially useful items, such as some Silver Bows and a Longbow that can be obtained from the Risen in this chapter.

The Risen Chief is not that strong and can be dealt with without much worry. If players aren't interested in grabbing items, simply rush him with fliers, while avoiding the Snipers and Archers on the sides, as their Silver and Longbows can cause heavy damage/kill them. After he dies, the chapter will end.

Reinforcements[]

Hard Mode[]

All enemies spawn at the beginning of the enemy turn.

Lunatic[]

Trivia[]

  • At the end of the battle, Marth will always block the incoming hit from the Assassin, even if it cannot hit/deal damage to Chrom.
  • After completing this chapter, the childrens' paralogues will now be available to play once their mothers have an S-Support with someone.
