Oghma Mountains

The Oghma Mountains are an expansive mountain range in central Fódlan.

Profile[]

The Oghma Mountains serve as a natural barrier in Fódlan that partially informs the borders of the Adrestian Empire, Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, and Leicester Alliance. Garreg Mach Monastery is located at the heart of the range, and Zanado, the Red Canyon can be found nearby.

The mountains are home to many plants and animals that cannot be found elsewhere, as well as numerous mineral deposits.

Etymology[]

The name Oghma most likely comes from Ogma, a god and champion of the Tuatha Dé Danann in Irish mythology. Alongside Lugh and Dagda, Ogma is among the trí dée dána, or three gods of skill, and also the inventor of the Ogham alphabet.
