Oswald is a character mentioned in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. He is the current Duke Riegan and leader of the Leicester Alliance, as well as the father of Godfrey and Tiana and the grandfather of Claude.
Duke Oswald von Riegan sired two children, his son and heir Godfrey and a daughter named Tiana. After Godfrey's untimely death, Oswald was left in desperate need of an heir as he had fallen seriously ill, but Tiana had been missing for some time. It was believed that without a Riegan heir, the Leicester Alliance would be consumed by a leadership struggle. Oswald eventually traced Tiana to Almyra, where she had wed the king of Almyra and given birth to a son, Claude. Oswald had his grandson brought to Derdriu and proclaimed his heir, easing the Alliance's political tensions.
