Parasols are practically identical in function to [[Umbrella]]s; the former being avaialble in ''Birthright'' and the latter being available in ''Conquest''. The only difference is that parasols are considered katanas while umbrellas are considered swords, therefore umbrellas are usually superior defensively. Since parasols cannot double attack, their speed bonus mainly comes in handy for avoiding being doubled in turn.

The Parasol (和傘 Wagasa, lit. Japanese Umbrella) is a Katana that is introduced in Fire Emblem Fates. A joke weapon that literally assumes the form of a bright crimson Japanese umbrella, the Parasol has low Might and an inability to perform double attacks. Worsening the weapon's demerits its inclination to improve the ability of enemies to perform double attacks. Like most other Katana, the Parasol lowers its wielder's Defense and Resistance by 1, but raises their Speed by 1.

Parasols are practically identical in function to Umbrellas; the former being avaialble in Birthright and the latter being available in Conquest. The only difference is that parasols are considered katanas while umbrellas are considered swords, therefore umbrellas are usually superior defensively. Since parasols cannot double attack, their speed bonus mainly comes in handy for avoiding being doubled in turn.
