Provisions are a type of item introduced in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.
Overview[]
Provisions consist of various foodstuffs, such as fruit, meat, and drinking water. They act as recovery items, restoring a certain amount of the user's health, while also easing their Fatigue. Some rare examples also serve as stat boosters. Provisions can be found in towns and other such areas, or within containers in dungeons.
Alm, Celica, and any units adjacent to them can access the Provisions option in the menu. This enables them to consume a food item directly from the Supply Convoy, bypassing the need to equip it first.
Each unit in Shadows of Valentia has their own food preferences. A unit will in general recover more fatigue if they consume something that they prefer. For example, Alm prefers meats over sweet confections, and thus will benefit more from eating Sausage as opposed to Honey.
