Rapiers are swords that usually can only be wielded by a specific Lord character. They usually cannot be dropped or sold. Their special properties are that they are effective against cavalry units, Knights and Generals at once (i.e. an armorslayer and a longsword/zanbato fused together).

In Fire Emblem: Rekka No Ken, this was wielded by Eliwood. In Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, this was wielded by Eirika. Confirmation of multiple Rapiers in one game (from villages or lerge red-roofed houses in certain levels, not secret shops) was made in both Rekka No Ken and Sacred Stones.
