The Red Gem (赤宝石 Aka hōseki) is a gem that first debuted in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. The Red Gem serves no other practical purpose apart from providing gold through its sale to a vendor (usually 2,500 gold). The Red Gem, alongside its other lucrative gem counterparts, is substituted by the Bullion in later entries to the Fire Emblem Series.
