Background

The coup d'etat at Aquleia quickly spread out to the rest of Etruria. Calling themselves the Revolutionaries, the coup d'etat forces sought to ally with Bern and divide rulership of Elibe.

Cecilia escaped from Aquleia with Guinevere. Forming an anti-coup d'etat militia called the Loyalists, she traveled around Etruria, fighting the Revolutionaries.

However, the Revolutionaries had Bern on their side. With King Mordred taken hostage, Great General Douglas and Knight General Percival were also forced to join the Revolutionaries. With these powerful allies, the Revolutionaries slowly began to push the Loyalists out of Etruria. Eventually, the Loyalists were driven into an old castle on Misul Peninsula.

After locating Cecilia, Roy headed for Misul. Meanwhile, the Loyalists were under joint attack by the Revolutionaries and Bern's troops. It would only be a matter of time before the Loyalists were defeated.'

Chapter Information

The Rescue Plan (救出作戦 Kyūshutsu sakusen) is Chapter 13 of Fire Emblem: Fūin no Tsurugi.

If you've recruited Percival and his allies survived, you'll get a Knight Crest

Although you can recruit Perceval, it is extremely difficult, as he and his allies will leave on turn 8; it is much easier to recruit him in Chapter 15: The Dragon Girl, as he won't leave during that chapter. If you wish to recruit him this chapter, there is a particularly risky strategy you can try.

Strategy

Subjective: The following part of this article is based upon the editor's personal experiences and opinions, and therefore may not be applicable for all readers.

Start Lalum/Elphin in the northernmost spot in your unit arrangement, and have your strongest flier (preferably a promoted Falcon Knight) go to the edge of their range on the first turn, then give them another move and rescue the unit and carry them east over the water. On the next turn, you should be able to get to the north bridge, out of enemy range, and drop the unit. On turn three, you can repeat the move-dance/sing-rescue-and-move again technique from turn 1, and this time wait north of the bridge while continuing east. You can then drop the unit in the lone forested square east of the bridge on turn 4, and if Lalum/Elphin is at a high enough level, they should be able to dodge attacks long enough to survive, allowing you to possibly recruit Percival on turn 5. Note that this is very risky and prone to failure, and not worth the risk unless you have a level 20 Knight or Cavalier that needs the Knight Crest.
