“These child hunts have been an absolute waste of my battalion's time. Not to mention that I'm bored to death.”

Ridale is an enemy character from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. He is an officer serving under Hilda, whom he receives orders to capture and execute any fleeing children. Refusing to comply to these horrific instructions at first, Ridale eventually gains the motivation to carry out his duties. He will meet his end as he clashes with Seliph's army.

Subjective: The following part of this article is based upon the editor's personal experiences and opinions, and therefore may not be applicable for all readers.

Ridale is a formidable opponent, as he is one of the only enemy units possessing a custom skill set. His skills and class are similar to that of Oifey's, and he wields the deadly Hero Sword, which allows him to perform multiple attacks in a single round. Coupled with the fact that he also possesses a Power Ring, these very attacks are thus drastically strengthened, posing a serious threat to units with low Defense. Furthermore, his 4-star leadership over a squad of promoted enemies essentially means that he is well-guarded and fairly difficult to even engage a battle with. It is recommended to wait for a short while before conquering Chronos Castle before engaging him with the faster and more evasive units of the army.
