After the battle against Sombron mortally wounded Alear, Lumera put them into a deep sleep to heal while she poured her life essence into them. While waiting for the day they would awaken, Lumera crafted a ring as a gift as she had promised before the final battle. A thousand years after Sombron was defeated and sealed, Alear awoke from their slumber. Lumera was elated by the news but soon discovered that they developed amnesia. She tried to bequeath the ring to them, but due to their amnesia, Alear refused it and asked Lumera to hold onto the ring and give it to them once they recovered their memories.
Much later, after returning to Lythos with the gathered Emblem Rings, Alear sacrifices themselves to save Veyle at Lythos Castle. In a hazy void, Alear's spirit calls out to Veyle, requesting that she use her Fell Dragon powers to make them a Corrupted so that they can continue the fight against Sombron. Veyle's power holds temporarily enough for Alear to recover the Emblem Rings. However, as a Corrupted and without their Divine Dragon blessings, Alear could only temporarily free the Emblems from Sombron's influence. Veyle's power wanes and Alear begins to fade away.
Witnessing Alear's resolve to fight against fate, the Emblems unanimously decide to grant their most powerful blessing on Alear, transforming them into an Emblem. Alear is fully revived, regaining their Divine Dragon powers and also the ability to shift into a new form: the thirteenth Emblem, the Fire Emblem.
In-Game Stats[]
This Emblem Ring is not equipable like other Emblem Rings as it is tied to Alear through a special command. The Bond Level of the Ring is dependent on Alear's current Support-Rank with that unit. All units start with Level 1 abilities if they have no Support established. As they gain Support Ranks, the equivalent Bond Rank also grows. C-Support is equivalent to Level 5, B-Support is equivalent to Level 10, A-Support is equivalent to Level 20, and Ring-Support is equivalent to Level 21.
The Ring Support rank can only be achieved by the unit to whom Alear gifts the Pact Ring.

The Ring of the Connector is an extremely potent Emblem Ring and has rather interesting and unique mechanics. The Emblem Ring is tied to Alear themselves and is not an in-game equipable Emblem Ring like the others. In order to access its functions during a battle, Alear must be deployed on the map and have at least one other active ally unit deployed. The Ring's Bond Level is tied to Alear's Support Level with their allies. With no Support established, Alear's ally only gains their Level 1 abilities. At C-Support, Level 5 is accessible. B-Support equates to Level 10 and A-Support equates to Level 20. Alear also can give only one unit in a playthrough a unique final Ring-Support, granting them an exclusive Level 21 skill. The Ring does not work on Constructs summoned by the Ring of the Lady of the Plains or the Bracelet of the Lonely Heir.
Engaging with Alear requires that they stand adjacent to an ally unit and utilize the Engage+ command from Alear's action choices. Once engaged, Alear expends their gauge, transforming them into their Emblem form and also causes their ally to Engage as well. Alear can Engage+ with another unit regardless of their selected partner's current Engage Meter, even if their meter is empty. It will not consume their Ally's current gauge and thus after the Engage ends, their ally will still have the same Engage Meter amount before Engaging with Alear. Alear cannot Engage+ with an ally that is already in an Engaged state with another Emblem Ring/Bracelet.
A vast majority of the Ring of the Connector's skills and weapons revolve around strong supportive boosts for each other and allies. Their Sync Skill Holy Aura allows that unit to deal effective Damage against Fell Dragons. This is particularly useful in Endgame where the player can creates two units that deal effective damage to Sombron. It also grants this effective damage bonus on any ally within two spaces of both Alear and their Engage partner if they wield a weapon that deals effective damage to Dragons normally, allowing a massive amount of units to pile damage on both Final Bosses of Engage and the Fell Xenologue. If either Alear or their Engage partner defeats an ally, the other receives a +4 boost to their basic stats with slight boosts to stats depending on the current class of the unit that activates the effects. Bond Forger, first accessed if Alear and their ally have a C-Support and empowered when they have an A-Support, increases the Hit/Avoid of allies within two spaces each of them. At an A-Support, both Alear and their ally gain Holy Aura, removing any effective damage that could be dealt to them. For Alear's Ring-Support ally, both gain access to Boon of Elyos, granting a Critical hit/Dodge increase based on how many allies have acted prior to them initiating combat.
The Ring's Engage Attack, Dragon Blast, can be performed by both Alear and their Engage partner once each and deals a strong two-hits on a foe. If the user is a Dragon, it adds a +20% boost of the user's selected damage type. Backup units always applies 20% Str increase while Mystical units always adds 20% Mag increase. Qi Adept units will automatically Break the foe. If both Alear and their partner are next to each other, the Bond Blast version is utilized instead, dealing three hits instead and still adds the previously mentioned damage boosts. Using this removes consumes both unit's Engage Attack option.
The Ring's weapon include Lyrátion, their default weapon, which grants a +1 charge to the Engage Meter of adjacent allies they are next to when they defeat a foe during the Player Phase. Dragon's Fist has a Brave Weapon effect, dealing two hits per attack if they initiates combat and also deals Magic damage. Oligoludia deals effective damage to any Corrupted unit.
Due to the unique effects of the Ring, it is an extremely accessible rank and if Alear has a sizable number of allies with high Support Ranks, the full benefits of the Ring can be accessed with ease. Due to the fact that it is tied to Alear as a command, the units that can use the ring can change throughout the map, allowing multiple units to Engage with Alear to suit a situation. The fact that using this Emblem Ring Engages two allies for the cost of one Engage meter is a testament to the cost effectiveness of its use. Despite the short window that this Ring is available for Story chapters, the large number of Corrupted enemies instantly makes Oligoludia immediately powerful in dispatching a large portion of the enemy forces and both Alear and their Engage partners become extremely powerful units against the final bosses. While it is the last Emblem Ring, it makes up for its late appearance through these strong perks. Any little downsides it has, if any, is covered by the massive strengths and flexibility of the Ring and the unit the player chooses for the Ring-Support more so becomes a veritable force at the player's disposal alongside Alear.
