The Ring of the Princess Exalt (聖王女の指輪, Seioujo no Yubiwa lit. Ring of the Holy Princess) is an Emblem Ring introduced in Fire Emblem Engage.

Overview

The Ring of the Princess Exalt enables to wearer to wield Lucina's power in combat. During the raid of Lythos by Gradlon, the Ring of the Princess Exalt was stolen. Sombron was able to awaken the ring and corrupted it, bequeating it to the kingdom of Elusia. During Chapter 7, Princess Hortensia wielded the ring against Alear and their forces.

At some point between Chapter 9 and Chapter 11, Ivy managed to acquire the ring, alongside Ring of the Lady of the Plains, and delivered them to Alear at the Shadowy Moor whom successfully purified them.

Overall

The Ring of the Princess Exalt emphasizes the Chain Attack mechanic in Engage by giving the user the ability to participate in a Chain Attack as though they are a Backup Unit, even if their current class is not one, though the Dual Strike skill. Likewise, the Ring's primary inheritable skills further emphasize this with Dual Assist allowing those with the skill to be able to participate in all Chain Attacks possible if they can reach the currently targeted enemy unit by moving, with a 35% chance of triggering at base form and up to 75% at max rank. As such, the Ring provides skills that can enhance the Backup Units in the army so they can pelt enemies with Chain Attacks without needed tight formations. Other skills that can be inherited include Dexterity +, the stat improvement skill of this Ring, and Dual Support, granting an Avoid bonus for the user based on the Support level they have with all adjacent allies, maximizing at +90.

When Engaged, the user gains Bonded Shield providing a Chain Guard-like effect, blocking the first attacks on all adjacent allies until the start of the next turn with a 80% activation rate. Unlike the standard Chain Guard conditions which only work on the first attack during the first combat, this is a constant, albeit chanced block, for an entire turn of combats, allowing a huge opportunity to stave off a heavy round of enemy attacks. Dragon units gain an additional 10% to their activation rates while Qi Adepts have a 100% chance activation rate under all conditions while maintaining the 80% for everyone else. Cavalry, Armored, and Flying units also have a 100% activation rate, but only for allies who share their Battle Style. The Engage Attack, All for One, has all allies within two spaces of the unit Chain Attack the foe before the wielder attacks. If the unit is a Dragon Unit, all Chain Attacks are guaranteed hits while Covert Units allow allies within three spaces to Chain Attack.

The Ring of The Princess Exalt's first Engage Weapon is the Noble Rapier which deals effective damage to Cavalry and Armored foes. Parthia grants an innate +3 Res and doubles all experience gained while wielding this weapon. Parallel Falchion deals effective damage to Dragon foes.

Overall, the Ring of the Princess Exalt is a strong ring to enhance the Chain Attack mechanic while its Engage mechanic allows powerful Chain Guard tactics. It is mostly best suited for improving Backup units, making it great for units like Diamant, Timerra, Boucheron or Goldmary in this regard.
