Robert (ロベルト Roberuto, also known as Roberto) is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, and a knight of Leonster. He belongs to Selfina and Glade's group, and initially joined them out of admiration for Selfina. He is a seventeen year old war orphan. Although Robert lacks speaking lines during the game, he is described as deeply devoted to Selfina, according to his description on the official website of Thracia 776 [1]. Apparently, he has a bit of a mother complex, which could have developed from his loss of his family due to the war.
In his ending, Robert joins the new kingdom of Thracia's royal guard. He seems to be characterized by a meek and bashful nature, as it states that while he aspired to become a renowned warrior, he never did overcome his timidness.

Overview
Robert is a low-leveled Arch Knight who joins automatically in Chapter 9. Despite his lackluster base stats and starting weapon rank, Robert has the best all-around growth rates of all the archers, and has a high movement range as a mounted unit during outdoor maps. Statistically, he specializes in Skill, Speed, and Luck, but he also has the highest Strength growth of all the playable archers and balanced Defense and Build growths. Robert is useful for hit-and-run fighting, using Canto, and is a good candidate for the Continue manual. Unlike the other Leonster knights who join along with him, Robert has one Movement Star, giving him a 5% chance to act again after ending his turn, and his Pursuit Critical Coefficient is 3, raising the chance for him to perform a critical hit on his second attack whenever he attacks twice in a row.
Compared to Selfina, the other playable Arch Knight, Robert has much better stats and durability in the long run. Unfortunately, however, Robert comes underleveled, which lessens his use at the beginning, and thus he requires quite a bit of training by the player before he can consistently defeat enemies on his own. Additionally, his starting weapon rank is at E, and because he joins later than the other archers, it can be difficult to raise his weapon rank high enough for him to equip stronger bows, such as the Master Bow or the Silver Bow. On a further note, Robert does not have any personal Skills, unlike Selfina who has Charge, or Ronan who has Continue, except for his inherent Canto as a mounted archer. Despite these flaws, Robert is a solid fighter once he is properly trained, and will become even more powerful when he is promoted to the Bow Knight class.

After his strong requests, Robert was put in the new Kingdom of Thracia's royal guard. Robert himself was probably trying his best to be a legendary warrior, but he never could fix his timidity. Apparently, more than a few of the female servants in the castle found his sheepish nature cute.
