“Oh! My manners have gone right out the window. I'm Sharena, Alfonse's darling little sister.”
—Sharena talking to the Summoner

Sharena (シャロン, Sharon in the Japanese version) is a main character and a protagonist in Fire Emblem Heroes. She is a princess of the Askr Kingdom and the younger sister of Prince Alfonse. Her personal lance is named Fensalir.

Profile

Being taught how to use a lance by Zacharias, a former member of the Order of Heroes. Sharena has been part of the Order of Heroes for quite a while, often writing letters to her mother. Though both live in the same castle, they rarely speak to one another.

In the Prologue, stage two, Sharena expresses her worry that Alfonse and Anna were late to the World of Mystery before introducing herself to the Summoner. Alfonse asks her the condition and she responds saying that a "fearsome figure in all red swoops through the skies," who later turns out to be Minerva.

In Paralogue 7, after beating the first stage, Sharena immediately befriends Katarina, who claims to have more allies that she would like Sharena to meet. She then leads them into an ambush, and afterward Alfonse expresses his distrust of Katarina in which Sharena defends her new friend. In the third stage, Katarina asks Sharena why she defended her and Sharena replies saying that that's what friends do. Moved by her words, Katarina then warns them of the ambush that she set, much to Clarisse's disliking.

Personality

Sharena is cheerful and loves making friends, especially with heroes and legends.

Overall

Base Set

Sharena is one of the Askran Trio that players of Heroes receives at the very beginning of the game. Of the three, she is the Lance wielder and is average across her stat spread aside from her low resistance. Overall, this makes Sharena a flexible unit, but not cannot outmatch fellow blue units who specialize. Her legendary weapon is Fensalir which inflicts Threaten Atk 2 on enemies, letting her be a Threaten debuffer with skills that she can inherit. She is the only Askran who comes with a support skill, Rally Attack, to boost her allies in battle, but lacks an attacking skill like the others. Speed +3 is a decent starting Skill A but the flat Speed is best replaced with skills that benefit more than one stat. Fortify Def 3 grants 4 defense to adjacent allies. Shrena is a serviceable Blue unit, but as an Askran Hero, she suffers from her inability to acquire copies of herself to merge and make her stronger and the inability to gain IVs to better increase more pertinent stats.

Counters

Sharena's low Res allows most Green and Blue mages to easily destroy her such as Nino, Summer Elise, Reinhardt, and Delthea. Bulky Green units like Fae and Hector also easily shrug her off.

Skill Inheritance Options

Given her average stats, Sharena can serve a multitude of roles from Supportive to Offensive.

Supportive Sharena should remain with Fensalir. Acquiring Rally Atk/Spd is a good upgrade to her base Rally Attack. Sharena's stats do not allow her to use many of the Special attacks effectively so Moonbow is her only real option for meaningful damage. Skill A can either be Triangle Adept 3 or Fury 3 who both increase her offense against red units with the former and overall increase to stats for the latter. Swordbreaker effectively shuts down any Sword Units she faces, allowing her to dispatch them more efficiently when compounded with Triangle Adept. Finally, she works well with Spur Spd/Def for ally assist in battle.

Offensive Sharena preferably gives up Fensalir for Slaying Edge+ with a Def refine and becomes an enemy turn wall unit, though Fensalir can still be useful for the Threaten Atk 2 drop. Reposition is the standard support skill for combat units. With a Def refine on Slaying Edge+, Bonfire can be run as her Special, but Moonbow works for a budget or those using Fensalir. Steady Breath increases her Def on enemy attack and accelerates her Special cooldown, though Fury 3 works on a budget. Quick Riposte is the standard counter tank skill, though acquiring Quick Riposte 3 is difficult so Quick Riposte 2 still works with some effectiveness. Her Skill C can either be Drive Spd 2 for better ally support but her base Fortify Def 3 still works well if on a budget.
