“I-I won't lose! If I don't win... ...Oh... No...!!”
—Slater

Slater is the Boss of Chapter 3: Late Arrival in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade.

Slater is a Bern Knight serving under Wyvern Lord Narcian, who helped to lead the attack on Castle Araphen previous to the events of Chapter 3. When Roy's forces arrived at Castle Araphen to liberate it from the Bern forces, King Zephiel of Bern took leave of the Castle shortly followed by Wyvern Lord Narcian. Slater's listed rank is lieutenant.

Before leaving Narcian threatened Slater, telling him that he would kill him if he failed to defend the Castle from 'a few scattered remnants' of the Lycian army, as Narcian put it. Slater fretted over this quite a lot, exposing an obvious fear of Wyvern Lord Narcian, and fearing that he would actually kill him although it seemed as though Narcian was simply joking.

The terrible irony is that Slater met his death at the hands of Roy's forces, yet never showed any fear of them. In his final moments he yelled out for Narcian's forgiveness.
