Slayer

Slayer is a skill that appears in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, although a predecessor to the skill appears in Fire Emblem Gaiden. In Gaiden, when a Falcon Knight attacks a monster enemy a small circle of angels surrounds their lance during the attack animation (similar to the Angel spell) and their base damage is tripled. The Slayer skill is a class-specific skill, which is learned when a unit is promoted to Bishop. It gives a Bishop the ability to do triple damage to monsters.

Trivia

• When using the Sacred Twin tome Ivaldi with a Bishop, its ability to inflict twice the damage on a monster will override the Slayer ability, therefore the Bishop's attack will actually be lowered when using Ivaldi against monsters. This makes the A-ranked Light spell Aura more effective, and it is best to give Ivaldi to a Valkyrie.
